  • Hi! I have this problem that my video filters are gone..? do you now how to make them come back agan? ;)

  • @TrulySomething my video filters are gone too. did u find out a way to get them back?

  • @kbplaya123 I´m afraid not :( It seem that I´ve tryed everythin but I hope I have wrong and that you do find a way to bring them back ;) if you do can you plz tell me how? ^_^

  • Is there any way of importing downloaded video filters, transitions or titles. I am very curious, because these get old and are quite simple. Please reply. I have sony vegas 9, but it's a bit to complicated to use....

  • Hi, you can download extra filter packs from the NewBlueFX site, these are the people that make the filters for Corel, but you have to pay for them!

  • hey how do i copy and paste words in to the video

  • You can't copy and paste with CVS, you have to type the text in

  • thanks this was very helpful :)

  • Glad you liked it!

  • which is the best rendering format to upload on youtube....i use the ipod H 264 and my images are not clear...they are pixelated

  • @stanrose2 That's probably why your videos appear pixilated, what are your original files? Are they from a video camera?

  • well i have canon G11.

  • The highest resolution it shoots in movie mode is 640x480 so the quality isn't going to be as good as HD, try a higher quality setting when you render for YouTube

  • HI i was wondering how do you get the video and attributes tab i cant find it and its frustrating me

  • When you drop a video on to the timeline the video and attributes tabs appear under the media library

  • you know were you have the video cut into thumnails how do you do that because other wise the video filters folder is empty :/

  • The video clips are placed in the media library when you capture or transfer your video from your camera, the folder with the filters should open up and display in the media library when you select filters from the drop down menu, I'm not sure why it should be empty, try re-installing it might help

  • hey man i gotta question how do i fade in and out my videos..for some reason when i put my video on mute i cant fade in or out?

  • Hi, if you go to the media library, click on the drop down menu and choose a colour, drag and drop it to the time line at the start or the end of the video, you can then put a crossfade between the colour and the video to fade in or out

  • This was excellent. Thank you for taking the time to share this with us. I would like to buy a camcorder (Sanyo Xacti cg10)and it was suggested I get an editing program as well. I am a super novice as this will be my first time using a cam or software. After seeing this tutorial I am very confident I will do great. Keep up the good work and many thanks once again :)

  • @crystalstarrz Hi, thank you very much for the kind comments, I hope these tutorials inspire you to have a try at editing, it might seem complicated at first, but most editing programs are very similar in their layout, if you have any questions just ask, John :)

  • I don't have any video filters at all- is something wrong or am i missing something

  • Hi, are you sure? They are standard in this program, you will find them in the media library

  • @johnboy1uk

Yea I went to Edit and then video filters, right? It says "All" but it's just an empty folder...

  • Oh! Try reinstalling the program and see if they come back

  • wait how would you do that...?

  • I have the same problem - I'm using Windows 7 did you reinstall your software and did the filters show up?

  • I have never had this problem, but sometimes if you do a re-install it sometimes helps

  • hey um how to you use the rewind effect on correl? plz answer ASAP

  • Hi, not quite sure what you mean by rewind effect, do you mean reverse the video? If you do you just place your video on the timeline and just above and to the right you will see two tabs, on the video tab just tick the reverse video box

  • thanks alot, great vid by the way!

  • Cheers!

  • Can it animate clips? And can you draw on your clips?

  • Hi, I'm not quite sure what you mean by animate clips. You can put an overlay on top of your original video, so I suppose you could draw on top of the video. There is a painter program within the main program where you can do this

  • is there a pixelator?

  • Yes you can do that in Corel

  • what effects are in the newblue feature?

  • If you look at my other videos you will see one which demonstrates quite a few of the those filters

  • I'll ask again here.

I have 5 different clips, but shot in the same setting.

So I added 5 filters, adjusted them. It took a lot of work,

now I want those same 5 filters to the next clip and I found no way of copying those filters!!

Why why why not!! There must be a way, why wouldn't you want that option???

  • No mate, you can't do it, I've tried it myself, it would be a useful feature

  • hi johnboy1uk, Ive had Corel video studio for about 10 months now. Its a great tool for video editing. I uploaded a recent video using corel studio, thought you might like to view it. Regards timroy4

  • I will have a look, thanks

  • Is there a way to take videos from the internet and put them on here to make a video of other videos?

  • Yes, you should be able to do this, you can edit any media in Corel Video Studio as long as it's compatible

  • Nice tutorial. I've had Video Studio Pro X2 for awhile but I never realized there were film-like filters in it.

I was debating getting Pinnacle studio ultimate (because of magic bullet) but I've heard you gotta pay for those plugins and the software itself crashes alot.

I think I'll stick with Corel (which thankfully isn't a resource hog).

  • Thanks, and yes there are more expensive programs, but for YouTube it's ideal. The other useful feature uses proxy files when editing HD content. Some of the more expensive programs do not have this feature. AVCHD can be very difficult edit but the proxy feature makes it a breeze

  • Great video ^^ Thank you sooo very much for sharing your talent John ! xoxo

  • Thank you for the kind comment, I hope the tutorial helped :)

  • what settings/filters/levels would you recommend for giving a film like/magic bullet looks effect?

    thanks

  • I think you would need to experiment quite a bit with the presets that come with Corel, I'm not sure there is a direct equivalent to the Magic Bullet effect. There are so many settings to adjust! The one I have used is the earth filter in the film fx plugin in the June Thunderstorm video which gives quite a good effect

  • -Exporting formats (file + DVD)
