Acctually she can't. While she could put up a good fight. Hinata also can do kaiten and stop any attack thrown at her. Hinata chakra blades can cut through temari's wind. This is an ability she learned during time skip. To automatically make chakra blade with her gentle fist. Hinata is also much faster then temari, as temari is more used to attacking from a distance.

What she did in the special is a mixture of kaiten and shugohakke rokujuu yonshu together! The regular rokujuu technique keeps her feet in place with her arms doing the work. But she mixed it with kaiten to move her legs to use the momentum to spread the chakra blades. She basically did kaiten and rokujuu at the same time. So obviously she could do kaiten if she chose to to, but she finds this more useful

oh jeez.... it may have been a filler, but kishi made fillers to better introduce the other characters, and likewise, the techniques he made them use are real also. I have much of my facts straight, altho i don't blame you...much. It is a mistake many make, its like chapter 437 when she confesed; she was about to use a technique called Johu shoshiken, it didn't show her ever learning it, but she was about to use it. Its kinda the same as the shugo hakke rokujuu yonsho

I get your point...but they do exagerate in the game...wen you said she mixd her jutsu with kaiten, i dont think that will ever happen...many people do make her seem as if she is the strongst of the girls, but she really isn't..even though i would want her to be since shes my fav..but like most coments here they are all bout how hinata's stronger than temari wen the guy who playd the game was aiming for hinata to win!...And fillers are used to give the author extra time, not introduce characters

We also can't forget, Temari is 18, 2 years older than the rookie nine, she had more time and experience, but we can never know who would win, unless kishi makes it so,and if naruto was watching, temari would have a much more difficult time lol

Rank can't prove much, most of the rookie nine can defeat the jonin. Such as lee being able to defeat kankuro or garra. Sure he uses the gates but it is a power all can achieve so it can't be called cheating. Hinata also beat those bee users in the bikochu arc and they were jonin. The list goes on really

When hinata does her giant kaiten-looking thing, it sounds like she's saying "hakkesho kuuten" or something to that effect. What does that mean? Or am I just hearing "kaiten" weird? The attack itself looks really different from normal kaiten, but correct me if I'm wrong.

Yes it is. She is using her shugo hakke rokujo yon shu tecnique while using rotation.

The force of rotation alows her chakra blades to futher widen and spread. Making all the blade cover all around. Not only does this increase the effect of her rokuju tecnique, but with the help of rotating, it not only paries all attcks, but acctually makes deep cts of her own. Witch can prove much more devastating then rotation
