i think all animals know their strength when it comes to being around young kids and babies. my rabbit attacks the hell out of me sometimes for messing with her ears. but when my 2 year old cousin does it, she doesn't care and lets him keep doing it. O_O

i don't know how, but most cats are gentle with the small children and trey is very gentle with that cat.

First, you can declaw a cat, and Second, cats can be socialized to be gentle with a child. As you can see, this cat refrained from putting out its claws whenever it touched the baby.

Thanks! They are still great buddies and my son is so great with Ernie and our other 3 cats. For an almost 2 1/2 year old he is very sweet and gentle with our cats and other ones he meets (doggies too!)
