Its not necessary , all that is needed is solar electricity. Regular light bulbs are fine. How many buildings do we have to put these panels and on ... lets think about it. It time to start thinking sustainability and light bulbs that create a problem in the future is not sustaining it putting off the problem until later. Its time to start encouraging people to ride bicycles, you know using those things you call legs.

How about the mercury in these light bulbs so when a million people throw them away you just created toxic waste, congrats.

the cycle is a closed one. the bulbs are tracked so once we're notified that they've burned out we recycle them, while suppling yet another CFL. next question...

People are lazy, no one even recycles bottles lets be honest.

True True, that's why it must be incentivized. In NY and MI (just to name a few) you receive 5 to 10 cents back for each bottle you return. This could be those "new jobs" Ringo talked about.
