Since Windows 7 RC is available FREE for one year ... so i would recommend you to install Windows7 instead of Windows vista.

Vista SP2 is out... with that installed and latest drivers for your hardware, Vista is solid.

There's no real compatibility issues with Vista anymore... all games work, all the programs *I* personally use work.

Well for most games a gtx 275 is more than enough especially if you go SLI so its pretty good :) although there is a 295 out which is even better but if you don't have the money a 275 is still very good, although me personally I prefer ATI and the HD 4890...that gpu is godly and overkill for most games ;D crossfire on those babies is sexy

It's the 64 bit technology, 64 bit applications often got traces of 32 bit. And if you're unlucky, some 32 bit applications may contain bits of 16 bit, THIS is what makes it incomptabile.

64 and 32, 32 and 16, 16 and 8.. et cetera. Though not the other way around.

This has nothing to do with Vista itself, it's the god damn 64 bit systems.

If your running any 32 bit os the max it will detect is 3.25 gb of ram so if you put 2x 2gb ram sticks "4 gig" But 64bit is from 4 gb to like 100-200 gb??

I read online that I can't have 64 bit Vista on my computer with 32 bit as well. I have all 64 bit capable hardware. If I uninstall 32 bit can I have 64 bit on there? Or does it become only 32 bit compatible after 32 bit has been on there (I was unable to find this part online)?

There is nothing like this as you are thinking as far as i understood from your reply. Hardware does not change its properties just because of the software. So you can simply get a VISTA x64 Bootable DISK and make a Clean Install of Vista x64 to your PC formatting the C:\ drive partition .. and everything will be fine.

Right click on your desktop, click properties. On a panel at the left there should be something like 'change font size' or something about DPI. Go into that, select large size DPI, click OK. Restart your computer. And voila!

....of course you get better rates with the same setup, the answer is in your comment, you are using DX9 and he is using DX10, now, common sense would dictate that since you have the same setup as you say, and he is using DX10 which implies "more stress on your GPU" do to higher texture detail better HDR effects, and others factors. lol yea, you will get better fps in DX9, but you can tell the game in vista to utilize DX9 only if you want, ;) but I like the extra eye candy. Vista is actually a wonderful OS, these "problems" ppl talk about, my question is, where the heck are they I've never had a speed, ram, explorer, data corruption, or any other problem that people continue to confess about. I guess thats what happens when you torrent an OS ;) I think the ones behind these "problems" are apple fans, (not downing apple)
