@homeworldmusic - I think this is the Beat Club performance, these sessions were generally 'Live' in that the band were filmed playing the track live, then Bolan would be filmed doing an overdub of a second guitar and vocal. the two clips were then married together. This was done to pad out the pad out the sound.
marc reminds me of morrison. the most classic band that doesnt get radio play. jeepster and 20th centery boy should be on all classic radio stations. no exceptions!
@Brettsburg20 Xrock plays Trex songs all the time..Alice cooper just got done playing this on his radio show On Xrock and this is why I am here...Check Out Xrock online if you do not have a Xrock radio station near You*
You will not be disapointed...REALLY
Oh watch it..Alice Cooper is a troll here at You tube also...he's internet savey...really
GOD REST YOUR MERRY SOUL MARC. YOU HAVE NO CLUE HOW BIG OF AN INFLUENCE YOU WERE TO MODERN MUSIC,,ASK THE WHO!! ASK DEF LEPPARD!! YOU''LL BE SORELY MISSED!!
He first appeared in an acoustic duo Tyrannosaurus Rex in the late 60s, iconoclastic folk stuff that was "enigma wrapped in mystery" in some respects, was he kidding or serious? Were the lyrics "meaningful" on some level or were they just pop nonsense? Then came the evolution into T Rex and he seemed more in his element, playing loud, raucous, flashy and totally overwhelming. Don't recall anymore where I saw him (my memory is going) but we came home blown away. Sad that angels die young.
mr pargaluwa..i agree with all that you said, bolan was a unique talent,however..i believe bolan was his own worst enemy in many ways.ie everything about the band revolved around him?in my opinion he should have given the rest of the band a voice and/or identity?ie,in the beatle there was john, paul, george,&ringo.in t.rex there was just marc?after 73 the standard of songs he wrote deteriorated sharply.in my opinion he lost that edge?& the MARC show was a disaster? (continued)......
but there is no doubt in my mind, that bolan and t rex in there prime ruled the pop scene?and just for the record..bolan was the orinator of glam..i know,i was there @and when t rex first appeared,i had never even heard of bowie?this video more than any other illustrates adzactly what t rex introduced to the pop scene in the early 70s.trust me people, the pop scene was boring untill this group came along?bolan was this countrys equivelent to ELVIS..there will never be another like him?
This video caused me to have a seizure between 3:12 and 3:20 mark. I came too, on the floor with blood all over my face, and there was a big chunk of flesh on the corner of the coffee table. Good stuff!
this was bolan in his prime..i remember when i first saw this guy in 1970/71.there was nothing or no one like him.he lit up the pop scene like no one b4 him(incl the beatles..)in the period 71/73 he undeniably, ruled the music charts.he was original, singular, diferent & unique.probably the most original pop ster this country has ever produced?
I have seen it all, and I most enjoy the way Marc plays the guitar. This is an excellent example of his raw energy. I appreciate all four member of this band, his best line-up.
YEAAAAH! My user-namesake song!!! My "jeepster405" is because I used to drive a white Jeep Wrangler and I used to live right by the 405 freeway :) Thanx for all these cool T-Rex videos!

@OutlandsCommunity Well, guys like him, which are few, then to leave that impression. That is why they become stars.
Listen to this and imagine standing in front of this as a spectator. Wild, indeed. I saw him live from way back and it was incredible.

Could this be declared Britain's second Norman Invasion? So much spunk and sex appeal on a stage created by a few dark haired, noisy punks.... Yikes!

First T.rex single I ever heard when it was released. Incredible.
After hearing it on the radio I went to the local record shop, only
to be told to come back the next day as they had completely sold
out. Never forget going back and picking up that brown label 45.
@Mr Jbox 123...I do agree with you there. Marc seems to have had
an incredible self ego right from the start of his music career.
