hehehe, there was a girl on the internet...telling me "i have no pictures of you" and "i'd like to see you playing drums" - and so I decided to do some crazy stuff :D
how did you start with this jazz-style? always I practice I play the boring same stuff...I need new inspirations!
I am not very good at jazz-style, too. To practice jazz is not very interesting for me. Jazz drum is exciting only when I play with other player, such as piano, bass, guitar.
btw: just a few hours ago, I modified my roland cy-15. bell triggers much better, jet. If you are interested just search for "roland cy-12 bell fix" (first hit). before I did this my bell only triggered the shaft....now I can play the tip. But I'll try to make it even better. I found a video where people triggered their bell only with their fingers.
I guess 2 layers of thin tape are too less...but dynamics are much better now!
Thank you for putting out this video the way you did, It look's like your having fun and thats what I want to do. ( I love what you did at the 2:00>3:30 min mark of your video ) What drum kit is that , steel drum and ? It sounds great ! I've been looking to get the TD 9 ,,, I think I will now !
I bought a Roland TD last year, too... but I'm far away from your skills (as you can see on my short clip...don't scare! :D ).
Hope I'll ever get this expirience in jazz-style!
but I guess you could work on your double-bass to become the king of the bongo ];-}

@heyjpn
but isn't it boring at all, playing alone?

Hi, Jacobnrush.
Thank you for watching.
I got this drum set just a few weeks ago, but since then, I feel so substantial everyday.
If you get the same one, your life will surely be happy, so there's no reason to hesitate.
The kit you like is a preset called "Melodies".
Every sound source changes depending on strength of stick work. I also like this kit.
