when vtec "kicks in" thats about all the faster you go. Besides vtec does not kick in all vtec means is it has variable valve timing. Almost all cars have it. All the ricer people do is they just floor it at 5,500 rpms. Does that mean i can floor a Camaro and have LT1 kick in?

variable valve timing is over 20 years old now and is still quite an efficient engine when considering mpg/hp not to mention the fact that the engine produces 100hp per litre. that's quite impressive. we can all name a car that will beat x car all day long. bang for the buck, the 7th gen civic Si is a good buy, it's a fun car. will it win 1/4 mile races? prolly not, will it hang very well or win in the twisties? good chance it will.

it's an 07 civic Si. comes with 197hp and an i-vtec decal on each side of the car and i-vtec engages at 6000 rpm. i can see you're upset by this car but that's ok. different strokes for different folks. ;)

coworker of mine drives a g6. the value on that thing bombed. don't know if it's a gt though and i don't know much about the car...the owner of the car in this vid however is a nice guy. the sign in his window was a joke. "vtec kicked in yo!" started as a joke amongst the honda community but has spread. usually you see it captioned under some pretty funny pics. google image search it. :) also, hondas, like any other car can be made to be a very fast car. those people have bragging rights. ;)

ha alright sorry bout the shitty comments before ha but yeah they can be fast if their done right.. but you still see alot of old beat up civics with some cocky ass kid driving it but you guys seem cool bout it tho... ha my g6 is a v6 in it.. it has a bit more horse power but it also prolly wieghs a bit more so im not sure how it would do against a new civic si but haha it beat out those older ones ;)

yeah, it's unfortunate that there are some people out there that give all different types of cars a bad name which causes them to be viewed a certain way by the general public giving them a bad rep. hondas seem to get it the most cuz it's currently the most popular modded car among the tuner scene. if a certain car is modded by more people than another type, there is certainly gonna be more idiots behind the wheel of the more modded car.

no. when i shot this, i was in my 06 civic Si. had it for 2 years, many mods, parted it out and sold it. current dd is a 94 hatch, bone stock. looking for a built/swapped civic as we speak actually. ;)

agreed. tuning engines began with the muscle cars. now, damn near anything can be tuned and it's a good thing. different strokes for different folks, ya know. i mean, it would suck if every car enthusiast drove around with a monster muscle car. there would be no variety.

And? You can go to a parking lot and take people's license plate numbers, hell, take the whole plate. You can't just look up a plate unless you either pay or you've got into the police database.
