  • I can throw 35 ft on an 8 pound ball. And I am in 7th

  • Hahah , it's too bad to call it shotput xd.

  • im in 7th and i throw the 8lbs shot put 30ft

  • I Throw 8;bs At 30ft 3in. and 6lbs At 33ft 7in. Im Eight Grade As Well. But YOu Definately Have a Good Throw!

  • Your lucky you can throw with a 6lb shot in JH. They changed the standards for JH not too long ago from 8lb to 6. And that was after I left for high school and by the end of my eighth grade year I was throwing 29 ft with 8 lb shots.

Still about the same with the 4 k lol...going for 30 feet...but you throw decent.

  • I am an eighth grader at Immanuel Lutheran in Crystal Lake, IL. I am throwing 34in. right now with a 4kg shot, or about 8lbs, in the 7/8 grade girls lutheran schools. It is fun to grunt and sometimes helps.

  • im a guy though

  • @williamfrey5 Ok good for you.

  • i throw a 38 im 13

  • Ah this brings back memories. Though when I was in the 7th grade I threw 30's. Weight training and form perfection are a must.

  • @ricemakesmefunny mhmm I'm not doing shot this year, I kinda miss it, but I'm cool with my other events.

  • how far do u throw? when i was 11 i threw 9 meters

  • Good job. Just for your age level, I can advise you to keep your elbow up on your throwing arm and keep your free arm (block arm) driving into your hip. You might also want to keep your head up and find a spot to aim at (focal point). I understand how you feel about the weight changes. I have a girl entering the 7th grade and Ohio used to have they girls throw 6 lb. till 7th grade then 8 in jr high. Now, they have them throwing 6 lb till high school. I just train her with the high school 4k

  • @ThrowStrong6109 Ok Great thanks for the advice I will deffinatly work on that!!

  • Good job. :D 6 lbs for junior high though? My school is a JHS and we throw 8.8 lbs.

  • @ThatxUrrutiaxKid yeah idk it might be a state thing but idk 4 sure! I'm from MN what about you! thanks!

  • @jamproductions96 from new york. You're prob right about it being a state thing. I just couldn't help noticing that the majority of JHS videos are throwing six pounds.

  • @ThatxUrrutiaxKid oh yeah well if you think about it it's kinda stupid cause now next year I'll be on varsity and now I'll have to throw 8 pounds when I'm used to 6 so idk whatever lol :)

  • @jamproductions96 its helps to grunt or scream, I'm a varsity thrower and i proved to the people that i teach, that the grunt helps in adding inches.

  • My daughter is an 8th grader this year. Her n\best is 33' 11 1/2". Thanks for posting this. It helps her to see other people's form.

  • @lghanrahan yup no prob I've really improved since last year so I don't know maybe my form has changed but I'll put on a video from this year so maybe that would be better! :)

  • im a 7th grade girl and we had a track meet 2day and i got 1st place with me throwing a 19.5 ft. (i kno i kno it was not my best throw ever).
