  • In Afrika we called these engines "one-lungers".

  • HI there, where one be able to buy one of these? . . nice pc. . . thanks

  • Nice!

  • Does these engines have a governor?

  • How much fuel it consume per hour?

  • Mine burns 2 gallons in a 24 hr period electrifying my house.

  • @daheick Can you hook it up to heat your home? I see it is liquid cooled. If you run it all night you might get some heat from it.

  • I guess it might help but you dont get much heat out of it. I dont know how much water presure it will take. I dont beleave they were made for a presurerised system.

  • don't worry they get very quiet after about 5000hrs!

There are original lister cs from the 30's and 40's here in England still running on irrigation dutys.

This engine design will outlast you!

Remember if you want to run on WVO or WMO heat it up before it goes into the engine, then it won't coke up. In the old days people used to wrap the fuel line round the exhaust

  • Yes, that is very smooth!!!

    Which brand is it?

I am planing to buy one.

  • It is a Metro from Sam Crosby in Maine. The forklift forks are resting on the wood, keeping it stable. I read his thread on the lister engine forums....which I have tried to sign up for, but I never get a confirmation email :-( ... I bought two of these Metros, I am going through them right now (inspecting)

  • MAN!! That is SMOOTH! I hope my Metro is that smooth and doesn't bounce around like some I have seen! (still cleaning crud out of mine :-)

  • Ya Mine chased me the first time I started it! It runs much smother now
