  • good music

  • great video

  • @shanebruce and loriBbloustein: I am so glad you enjoyed my little movie! Rustin was indeed an extremely important--and perhaps too often overlooked and underrepresented--man. I made this for my Eng 364 class last term, focusing on America.

  • My mother went to Alabama to help black people register to vote. My Dad was beaten by a police officer while protesting with the Black Panthers in NYC. I am proud of my heritage and thank the young man who posted this and hope more than 286 people view this! And I thik my fellow Warrior of Peace and Justice, Lori Blaustein for turning me on to Baynard Rustin!

  • thank you so much for this wonderful piece. in spite of the fact that my parents were civil rights activists (some of those jews from new york that the north carolina judge hates), i was not familiar with the extraordinary work of Bayard Rustin until i heard a radio documentary about his life and work today. WHAT A REMARKABLE HUMAN BEING!
