F1 is the pinnacle of all motor sport then and even more now. All drivesrs are in such good shape!!! And the tec is something the drivers have to keep up with race by race. NASCAR is just not the same and can't be compared with F1 as F1 can't be with NASCAR. But I defo think F1 drivers have a little more natural skill than others. I have raced and driven cars for quite some years. Driven loads high bhp cars over the years!!!! Takes so much more to come out of medium speed corners the right way!!

Saw this movie last night and it truly moved me. I was 12 when the Prost/Senna feud was taking place. I remember hearing he died. All F1 drivers are skilled, but Senna's car control can only be rivaled by Sterling Moss. He was a maniacal genius behind the wheel. @TedixMedix I enjoy all forms of motorsports. NASCAR can be exciting once you understand the delicate balance that has to be achieved for those cars to make those left turns consistently fast. It isn't easy or otherwise we would all be able to do it. But the F-1 drivers? Wow! I don't know how they do it. The stamina, concentration and hand/eye coordination required to drive those cars to the limit is amazing. It's definitely a BIG drop down to NASCAR..

@bretoff you race don't you?! I noticed the same thing about the revs and apex attack. As racers we are always taught smooth and consistent = FAST. Senna was fast, and his lap times were consistent, but he was not smooth. I love watching his hands. He is fighting the car on the edge every second, and yet still in total control. Amazing.

what happened to motorsport. Sure we have good series nowadays i guess but they arent great like back in sennas day. Yes, it was dangerous, but you knew what you were getting into when you raced.

I can't even go round turn eight full throttle in a computer game, let alone one handed! every time I try to do it in a newer car like a 2009 mclaren, it always feels like it will fly off into the gravel trap.
