  • omg that would be awesome!

  • I never had the balls

  • I have been there and jumped it. Awsome time...however it is only 65ft. Fact.

  • I've jumped a measured 55' and that's about what that looked like...90' would be way too scary and would very likely include a hospital visit.

  • hey let me know how to get there

i need to do that jump all the time and look for new places to go

  • Go to lower south branch pond in baxter state park, rent a canoe or bring one, paddle all the way across, ford through a small stream on the right, and that will lead you to upper south branch. the cliffs are on the right hand side, you can't miss them. Its a really exhilarating jump.

  • i just went there and we measured the depth at about 50ft

  • Awesome, We have always wondered how deep this is. Never have been able to see the bottom. But the 50ft is sure reassuring.

  • no way, i just did the exact same cliff jump a couple days ago, but when I came up i was much more excited than this guy

  • ive been to that remote campsite before and it's pretty high up.

  • ddude sweet is is a long swim to shore, i might brave that in mid october and wont wanna be in the water for very long

  • this side of the cliff has quite a swim, but there are slightly smaller sections with a much shorter swim!

  • In response to most of these comments, the depth cannot be determined other than the fact that the water is crystal clear and no one has ever seen or hit the bottom, and as for the official height, No one has ever measured it, and from this perspective it does not appear to be as huge as I say... but believe me it is.

There are several other tiers you can jump off of, this being the highest, if you search for other Baxter state park cliff jumping you will find people going off the smaller one.

  • thats not 90 ft. he fell for less than 2 seconds...

  • Mmmmm physics. It would take about 2.5 seconds to fall 90 feet. I counted about 1.75 seconds. That would make the height roughly 50 feet. Even if we rounded it to 2 seconds, that would still only be 65 feet.

  • Our guesstimate, thanks for the physics explanation... It sure seems that high.

  • Did they check a fishing depth map of the pond or for rocks before jumping?

  • if thats 90 feet my balls are 6 feet wide

  • very nice!
