  • I just got this program to burn blurays. The media I'm using is blu-ray single layer, BD-R 25 gig. Which option do I pick for quality since I don't have dual layer blanks? thanks

  • @Rhaxx1 @Rhaxx1 DVDFab allows you to choose the output disc type, even you can choose DVD as output type. Choose BD5, DVDFab will compress the material to make it fit one BD5/DVD-5 disc;

    Choose BD9, DVDFab will compress the material to make it fit one double/dual layer blank BD9/DVD9 disc.

    Note: The backup DVD disc can not play on standalone DVD player, since it holds blu-ray format files not DVD standard files. You need play it on a standalone Blu-ray player.

  • @Rhaxx1 You may also use DVDFab Blu-ray to DVD Converter, just copy your blu-ray onto DVD disc and play it on DVD player.

  • when doing this, u select a track, and says scanning and a loading bar, is it really necessary to wait for it cause takes ages!! thanks

  • @Buxenwolf For your problems, could you please use other Blu-ray or DVDs to see if this is a universal problem, or just for this one?Please insert your source bd disc into BD ROm,open DVDFab and choose target path as one of your hard disk drive, bd50 output with no comression, then check if the ripping from disc to HDD still take that long time,

  • Ok, I am having extreme trouble using this software. anyway it's saying before i even try to put the File into the box that "make sure it's playable". One thing is the dvd that i am trying to burn has a BDMV folder but not a Certificate Folder. Do i need to create one for my blu ray files to be recognized? And I love DVDfab it's a great software, i just need to learn the secret to the blu ray's. thanks.

  • @rcic5 This read errors can be caused by several things.

    1. Dirty disc.

    2. Scratched disc.

    3. bad manufactured->Defective disc.

    4.Dirty blu-ray drive.

    Please clean this movie disc and your drive tray, then insert to see DVDFab can load it successully or not.

  • One question: I try the copy option, and it tells me there's not enough space on my C: drive. I try again, telling it to rip to ISO on my 2TB D drive, but it still says there's not enough space on my C: drive.

  • @outRIAAge Have you defined the right target drive. You are allowed to define the target disk drive to hold the output video. you may have a try this. You may also update your DVDFab software to the latest version and try again. If you still have any problems, please feel free to contact us.

  • @dvdfabber OK, I was running v 8.0.7.9. I updated it to v 8.0.8.5. I told it the target drive was my 2TB D drive, but it still says: "There isn't enough space on drive C:". I don't want to have to get a bigger SSD and reinstall Win 7!

  • @outRIAAge You need to manually choose D:\ as your iso file save location. Please click the tick green icon button at the right top corner of the DVDFab screen, open "Common Settings" window, click on "General", you can change the temporay from C drive to the other drive which has enough free place.Then click on the ISO icon button (beside the folder icon looks like a piece of paper and a disk) to choose the target path as D:\ hard drive. Then you will get the iso file in your save location.

  • @dvdfabber Thank you for the quick responses; that last suggestion worked. But you might want to consider:

    Writing some standard documentation for the product instead of the rather poor tutorials.

    Using pop-up explanations of the icons and perhaps changing them: The one you sent me to is marked with a check-mark, which gives no idea of its function (the settings icon on the Chrome browser is a wrench, which clearly implies what its function is).

    Thank you for your attention.

  • @outRIAAge so glad that your problem has been solved, moreover, many thanks to your precious suggestions. We will consider them and try to make improvements. Thanks again for your support and suggestions.

  • if i get a registered copy of this software from you, how do i get any updates?

  • @MYBIGKINDHEART Hi, MYBIGKINDHEART DVDFab will check for a new versions automatically, but you need to confirm and start the update manually. The update check recognizes official releases only, not beta versions, which may contain important fixes or new features. For more information, you may go to dvdfab.com and check the How to Update in the Manual. Manual is in the navigation of Resource. If you still have any other questions, please feel free to let me know.

  • if i choose to copy the main movie only will it keep the bluray-menu? can you copy the whole bluyray but leave some languages out?

  • @TheHambo11 hello, thehambo 11, thanks for your question, the current blu-ray copy-main movie module can not support to keep blu-ray menu as of now. our techs are working on that new feature which will be supported in the near future.

    The preselection of language can only be available in bd copy-main movie, you are allowed to select prefer audio/subpicture language for the main title.

  • do you need blu ray reader/writer to just save blu ray iso's? i dont want to burn it

  • @boyt0mmy yes, stiil you have to usee a blu-ray reader to generate ISO files, if you have bluray drive on your PC, just insert your disc in your blu-ray drive.

  • do you need a bluray driver

  • @jay12345ist yes, you still have to use a bluray driver to create ISO image to your PC hard drive.

  • I have a few questions...

    Can you play it in the ps3?

    is it still blu ray quality afterwards?

    and what kind of disk do you need to burn it?

  • @ITCHYblanket I Made a copy Main movie with dvdfab to a dvd 9 or dvd+r DL and the regulars dvd players won't play the dvd not even my xbox 360 just my pc and blu ray player

  • @ITCHYblanket Definitely yes, you can either convert blu-ray to HD MP4 and play this HD MP4 file on your PS3, or burn your blu-ray disc to iso files and create BD Discs with different types. Here are two solutions for Blu-ray on PS3 at: Cinavia on our website.If you need more help, just feel free to contact our support.
