  • Thank you Uncle Jimmy,

I watched as a kid, you were hardly more than a kid youself. I loved the show and think of you often.

    Bless you.

  • That is Webster Webfoot!

  • is that donald duck how cute:)

  • I also grew up with "Uncle Jimmy Weldon" and Webster Webfoot. I especially loved all the "Little Joe" stories -- especially "Little Joe the Christmas Tree." It would be great if some of the shows had been on film or tape, I'd love to see them!

  • Jimmy Weldon is & alway`s will be,just like back then in the `50`s & `60`s THEE BE ALL & END ALL of " Hey Kid`s,Walk into the LIGHT" POSS++++ Guy & GOD BLESS Him 2-thee- ENTH !

  • He's only three... but he's tough!

  • lol webster owned him. ''ohahaha''

  • ll webster owned hi. ''ohahaha''

  • I loved viewing Webster and Jimmy. I watched them on TV as a child; even the adults in the house got a kick out of Webster and Jimmy. I spoke with Jimmy Weldon several years ago on the phone. What a charming man; and I even got to speak with Webster. I have told my grandchildren of the show, and wish that kind of entertainment was still available for children. God bless Webster and Jimmy. I send them love.

  • I had no idea that Jimmy and precious little Webster Webfoot were still performing!! Those two are a beautiful part of my very early memories!!!

    Thanks for posting this!!!

  • How wonderful that Jimmy and Webster are still at it. I LOVED the show when it was playing in Fresno. Great delivery and perfect timing! I would be happy to have my daughter watch this over any of the computer-animated coprorate shills on TV now. There's prescious little coming down the wire that can be called wholesome. Thank you, Mr. Weldon! Thank you Webster! The only time I regretted moving to Indiana was when I learned that I missed your performance in Brea.

  • As stated earlier, the duck voice cannot be done without moving lips. The personality and character of Webster is what carries the performance and makes it so very special.

  • u could totally see his lips move

  • it's great to see the face behind Solomon Grundy... i love the Challenge of the Superfriends.

  • Thanks, Luvvy! I watched him as a little kidd, too- and having him appear on MY TV show was the thrill of a lifetime. I always wanted to be on his show, and he was on mine!

  • I remember this show!!! They had it when I was a little kid, and I all but LIVED for it!! They showed "Lassie" and other things, and read kids' letters on the air.

  • Jimmy & Webster are appearing live at the Curtis Theater in Brea, CA, Saturday AUG 9, 2008. Tickets are $19.25. Check it out online. The show is called VAUDEVILLE LIVES!!!

  • Everything I have read about Jimmy Weldon indicates he's a warm, upbeat guy who genuinely cares about kids. God bless him!

  • Jimmy is not a ventriloquist in the sense that he makes an attempt to fool the audience. The duck voice cannot be performed without moving the lips. It's the personality of little Webster that holds your attention and makes him seem real.

  • He moved his lips.

  • Did Jimmy do any other voices on the Yakky Doodle shorts? Wish that duck voice being so far removed from his regular voice, it's hard to tell.

  • I don't think he did any of the other voices. Little Webster is a BIG hero of mine. When Jimmy answers his phone, I often ask if Webster is at home and he'll call him to the phone- it's wonderful!

  • I just wondered, because a lot of the additonal voices were clearly Daws Butler, but there were a few I wasn't sure of. Vance Colvig may have done those.

  • When the video reissues were done on VHS, the voice credits were added at the end of the program, so it's possible to go back and check.

  • I got the DVD set but it just gives a generic list at the end credits.

  • I have a VHS copy of several episodes and the credits are there.

  • AH, I haven't seen those. Thanks for the info. though.

  • Thank you so much for your well-thought-out review.

  • SUCKED

  • It is impossible to do the duck voice without moving his mouth. He tried early in his career but it was pointless. The character developed along visual lines and Webster has his own personality which doesn't depend on motionless lips. When I talk with Jimmy on the phone, I always enjoy asking if Webster is at home- Jimmy calls out for the duck and way off-mike you can hear Webster shouting "I'm coming!" I wish the world were full of people like Jimmy Weldon.

  • sweet yakky

  • OH SO SWEET!

  • Mark Brandon is a total butt. I love Yakky, Webster and Jimmy. There is no connection at all.

  • he's moving his mouth

  • This evil character helped create a violent serial killer - Mark Brandon "Chopper" Read !!

LMAO !!!! "Now cover your eyes yakky..."

  • Yakky Doodle is one of the cutest cartoon charactors on TV. You got to watch it. A production of Hanna-Barbara, he has appeared on several shows of the same producer, such as Yogi Bear, Snaggle Puss, etc. We want more Yakky Mr Weldon!!

  • I used to watch him too- on LA channel 13. I have loved that duck for more years than I care to admit. Thanks for remembering little Webster and Uncle Jimmy!

  • Thanks for sharing this, charterloungeparty! I use to watch webster webfoot in Los Angeles growing up as a boy. Very Cool!

  • "I'm only three- but I'm TOUGH!" -Webster Webfoot
