1 pack so 9 rings i think? don't quite remember it was 4-5 years ago but idk why but i tried to recreate it like 5 times and never got it to be that loud again. maybe that one just had a good batch of caps?
I made one that had like 360 rolls and then about 8 paper rolls as well, thousands of shots. Did it at a camp ground in a milk carton, loud as fuck. Enough smoke to fill any room.
I did one today.. put about 100 caps (12 rings) together in a bit of tape.. put that between two large coins, COVER it thickly with tape and throw it preferably.. i was stupid enough to stomp on it and now i screwed my ankle and bruised all the bones in my foot :)

we stacked 500 caps together in a pyramid.(they were the ones that came in a ring). when they were together, my friend sledged it! all i can say is that the sound was "booooooooooooooom!!!!!!!!!, snap"
To make a cap bomb, go to your local Wal-Mart, go to the toy gun section, and get some paper roll caps. They usually come in 5 strips a package. Tear the strips to individual strips. Fold each strip all the way down the middle along each cap. Now, grab a penny, or preferably two, and wrap the folded caps around the pennies, until you form a small ball. Then get some black electrical tape, and tape them around, as air tight as possible. Do not over tape. Now throw at a hard surface.
its not 600 db that would blow your ears and lungs up.
