Actually...the more I watch it, the more she grows on me, but I don't think she's a great actor. She does a fine job on the show, but her work...and sometimes that of "Doakes"...seems a bit forced.

I'm thinking more of her other work.. "The exorcism of emily rose" is one of them. That movie was one of the great moments of her career. If you haven't seen it, you should.

Then try telling me she's a bad actress! =P

But the parts in dexter where she cries or is upset I personally think is really great work, I mean, to me it looks really authentic =) Did you know the screaming in emily rose is really her own voice haha? She could sing in black metal band lol xD

Agree, she plays Deb on Dex just right; she is suppossed to be emotionally awkward and have trouble connecting; she's damaged like Dex, but not as bad, She is very good.
