Much of that money he spent was the stimulus package which prevented further loss of jobs and will continue to create jobs. A lot of the money was used for building infrastructure that will go into effect about 2 years after the money was spent. This prevented inflation of the dollar, job loss, and a weakened GDP. There are other ways to reduce the deficit, such as raise taxes on the rich.
@PussyeverydayIEat Well republicans support the free market with little regulation. This allows large banks to buy credit default swaps on massive amounts of margin--which then collapsed due to faulty loans by fannie and freddy. Also Bush Tax cuts only added to the deficit.

If Mr. Boehner is really serious about cutting the budget maybe he can start with eliminating one of the biggest Welfare Programs in the history of the nation...FARM SUBSIDIES.

How can you establish a program that uses 50% of the corn crop without substantially raising food prices and feed prices?

@PussyeverydayIEat There is a big difference between spending and going into bankruptcy. Much of that money he spent was the stimulus package which prevented further loss of jobs and will continue to create jobs. A lot of the money was used for building infrastructure that will go into effect about 2 years after the money was spent. This prevented inflation of the dollar, job loss, and a weakened GDP. There are other ways to reduce the deficit, such as raise taxes on the rich.

Secondly, Obama can't change anything because all republicans do is block. Please go look at the blocks republicans did for 9/11 first responder health care. How can you support that?
