Mata is good; but can he save a slow and aging squad that has zero creativity, whose 'best' strikers are either overripe or overrated, and whose manager is afraid to drop the huge egos like Lampard.
I've been a fan of Mata for years, I hope the big egos and the anti-ball-movement style of Chelsea doesn't hurt him as a player. Torres needs a player like Mata around to reach his best form, if he is still capable of reaching that form. However, I fear Torres has gone the way of Michael Owen.
