In the beginning of WoW, alliance for outnumbered horde, but horde had much better pvpers, so alliance lost most of their PVP with the horde, what happened later was butthurt alliance all went horde to try and be on the winning side, but instead they just changed the hordes into nothing but bad alliance rerolls.
The trend passes over into other games, with the dark side having mostly terrible pvpers
btw in terms of grahpics guys with this video, this was made in 2009 and now its 2011 and on top of that there are holding a camera and not using an in computer so w/e xD
I love when ppl talk about graphics when they play World of Warcraft, who has cartoonish graphics as this does. In other words they look the same...cartoonish grahpics make gameplay smoother.
i love everything about the game except the "heroic combat" bullshit, just shut up, in other MMOs we can take multiple enemies at once at like level 10, i just hate hearing them say "look how heroic our combat is" just stfu, finish the game so we can all play xD
@captainsmartass123 Yeah you can, but mobs are always standing alone, sometimes two together. Obviously you can take on more than five mobs at once depending on your gear, class and class-knowledge. Also I think if you compare level one gameplay from TOR with for example WoW, you'll notice a huge different.
But yeah, just finish the game already so we can play :P

Lol people dont understand that kotor played like an mmo just with console graohics it was even slower gameplay with the ability 2 pause in the middle of combat and right before it with limited actions u were able 2 preform where as an actual mmo the combat will be fluent and u will be able 2 preform many more abilities and actions
If, swtor had the graphics OF ME 2. There would be a lot less playing for two reasons. 1. It's an MMO, there will be thousands of people around. Good luck with watching a slide show because of the lags and the server wont be able to handle it. The second reason, they are doing it so it can be available to a wide range of PC's. Not everyone has the best graphics card money can buy. Not everyone even has the specs of a top notch gaming computers.
Graphics for SWToR are better that you might think. Go watch a game play video of Tera and then come back to this. This looks a lot more detailed. GW2 is probably the only eye candy coming that could compete with this. Until FFXIV is the way it should be and Samurai is released, I will be playing this game. Choosing a class is the only hard part.

@killabozo Can you spell? Why all the Nerdrage over someone's opinion on the look of a game.........The graphics on this aren't the best, no, but 1. It's an MMO (larger player base as a large majority cannot afford good rigs atm) and 2. this is still in alpha. Besides what is so wrong with some cartoony graphics? Gameplay and story are what make a game, look at minecraft, shit graphics, but still a fun game because of the creativity and freedom of a sandbox.
Just recently stumbled upon this game awhile back. Couldn't for the life of me figure out what class to play- they're all amazing. Then I realized that the Trooper gets to blow things up and stock strike people in the face...
Everyone is going to be a jedi and sith during the first 2 monthes i would imagine that force users will own every other class in pvp unless they are ganged, but 1v1 jedi will be op. Think of it as a 85 pally on wow vs the other classes.
@350ztech If you look on the SWTOR forums, that's not true. Bioware stated they are making all classes as balanced as possible. And btw i rip pala's with my Unholy Dk, so, yea.

These are better graphics than any MMO i've ever seen, and yes im comparing this game's 2 year old graphics to other MMOs of today's standards.
Oh yeah, Youtube's graphic quality degrades it, the camera he's capturing it possibly more or less depending on it's quality, then the screen he's recording it off, projectors a lot of the time degrade graphics.

@ladruner Dude this video was released in 2009. The gameplay itself was released at an earlier date. And, the video is just a demonstration and sneak peak of what is to come in the game. The producers of the game are clearly going to put more graphics and physics into this game..

@prankmypants Yes i prefer to pay 15 a month than spending 100 in one or two games. And you're wrong, in SWTOR you can complete the game. Your personal story is just like a KOTOR game but 3 times bigger, instead of finishing the game in 40 50 hours it will take me at least 200 hours to finish it, and the best... i can do it with friends or other players. And yes this is KOTOR 3 to 10, each class have their own story, basically this game will be the size of 24 mass effect games just class stories

Not everyone has the internet or even wants to play online and have to interact with people and see annoying usernames like pwnfuka4000. The singleplayer pure experience has a much smoother and complete feel. where as you could be playing the old republic till you die.
@prankmypants After that you also have the stories of the planets which are 17 atm, and you also get with they call flashpoints. That are 90 minutes multiplayer dungeons. The beauty of all is that you're living in a star wars universe... you can explore planets, you interact with npcs, you interact with real players, trade stuff, etc, etc. It's a persistent world and i rather pay for this than a SP game that will last me a week.

Every rpg coming out these days has animation blending so characters don't just snap from a standstill into a full sprint animation, and it drives me crazy that they haven't bothered with this. I know it's like a small thing, but it just gets into my head. it's like why bother animating at all? why not just have them float from place to place?
Different Class=Different PLay style. I dont want to play a trooper in 3rd person. First person that shit and make the enemy more innovative and intelligent than the standard stand out in the open and trade shots until some one falls. I want more atmosphere, as in a fps, enemy troops charging you and yourself taking cover and firing back. But still this isn't the final print so I will wait
i agree on the graphics issue id rather it not so good cus i dont have a high end comp.. mine was around 800$ so =p as long as the story is good and fighting system is good im down with it =D

Tho, when a game's graphics are WOW bad or worse, i get on edge about the game. These Graphics 2009, with a cartoony art style. And if they did realistic art style for one it would not match the comics (I don't read them but this is somewhat how the worlds were depicted) and only 27% of people that play MMO's have good computers with great graphic.

@killabozo Can you spell? Why all the Nerdrage over someone's opinion on the look of a game.........The graphics on this aren't the best, no, but 1. It's an MMO (larger player base as a large majority cannot afford good rigs atm) and 2. this is still in alpha. Besides what is so wrong with some cartoony graphics? Gameplay and story are what make a game, look at minecraft, shit graphics, but still a fun game because of the creativity and freedom of a sandbox.

Just recently stumbled upon this game awhile back. Couldn't for the life of me figure out what class to play- they're all amazing. Then I realized that the Trooper gets to blow things up and stock strike people in the face...

Everyone is going to be a jedi and sith during the first 2 monthes i would imagine that force users will own every other class in pvp unless they are ganged, but 1v1 jedi will be op. Think of it as a 85 pally on wow vs the other classes.

These are better graphics than any MMO i've ever seen, and yes im comparing this game's 2 year old graphics to other MMOs of today's standards.
Oh yeah, Youtube's graphic quality degrades it, the camera he's capturing it possibly more or less depending on it's quality, then the screen he's recording it off, projectors a lot of the time degrade graphics.

@ladruner Dude this video was released in 2009. The gameplay itself was released at an earlier date. And, the video is just a demonstration and sneak peak of what is to come in the game. The producers of the game are clearly going to put more graphics and physics into this game..

@prankmypants Yes i prefer to pay 15 a month than spending 100 in one or two games. And you're wrong, in SWTOR you can complete the game. Your personal story is just like a KOTOR game but 3 times bigger, instead of finishing the game in 40 50 hours it will take me at least 200 hours to finish it, and the best... i can do it with friends or other players. And yes this is KOTOR 3 to 10, each class have their own story, basically this game will be the size of 24 mass effect games just class stories

The singleplayer pure experience has a much smoother and complete feel. where as you could be playing the old republic till you die.

@prankmypants After that you also have the stories of the planets which are 17 atm, and you also get with they call flashpoints. That are 90 minutes multiplayer dungeons. The beauty of all is that you're living in a star wars universe... you can explore planets, you interact with npcs, you interact with real players, trade stuff, etc, etc. It's a persistent world and i rather pay for this than a SP game that will last me a week.

Every rpg coming out these days has animation blending so characters don't just snap from a standstill into a full sprint animation, and it drives me crazy that they haven't bothered with this. I know it's like a small thing, but it just gets into my head. it's like why bother animating at all? why not just have them float from place to place?

Different Class=Different PLay style. I dont want to play a trooper in 3rd person. First person that shit and make the enemy more innovative and intelligent than the standard stand out in the open and trade shots until some one falls. I want more atmosphere, as in a fps, enemy troops charging you and yourself taking cover and firing back. But still this isn't the final print so I will wait

Tho, when a game's graphics are WOW bad or worse, i get on edge about the game. These Graphics 2009, with a cartoony art style. And if they did realistic art style for one it would not match the comics (I don't read them but this is somewhat how the worlds were depicted) and only 27% of people that play MMO's have good computers with great graphic.

@halogenke680 the combat style is nothing like kotor. no turned base rpg type shit. you like the button and it performs the action on the spot, unless there is a cast time. there is also no auto attack. you only smack people if you use an ability.
