  • @kkalleb: inexpressive, yes, but not that much. A choirboy might have made it sound a little sweeter, though.

  • She nails the pitches. A really moving, and unquestionably perfect rendition of this piece was recorded by The King Singers, just one (male) countertenor plus a smaller ensemble, on their Madrigal History Tour album.

  • @askapornographer They are the best, by a looong way, at this rep. Wish I could get hold of a copy of the VHS/DVD of the whole series...alas it is not available, apart from the little clips on here.

  • Gorgeous sound in the instrumental consort. I found the soprano a little inexpressive.
