  • the tires on that rx7 sound like a herd of pissed off elephants.

  • Winning a race is more about the driver than the car......

  • DK-

    Donkey

    Kong

  • lol to the automatic

  • the RX-7 sound like Keisuke's FD3S

  • @TakumiFuji01 yeah thats how detailed Initial D is made :-) even the places like Tofu-Shop and Mt. Akina/Haruna. even little details that match exactly

  • Comment removed

  • High praise for the S2000, being compared to a Hachi Roku.

  • tsuchia compared the stock s2000 to a highly modded hachi roku. there is no way a stock hachi would ever compete with a stock s2000.

  • about Takumi's AE86 vs God Hand's S2000 ehh?

  • very nice

  • I think the rx7 looked the best

  • mazda rx 7s are rele good at drifting

  • uhm...i think the driver makes the drifting...not the car

  • its still pretty easy because of the performance+the added stuff put into it

  • this is true but the specs of the car are a variable

its prolly much harder drifitng with a car with tons of traction and lots of handling as the same with a car with little traction and no handling

    its 2 components

  • O cara eh bom!!!

  • DAMN!!! would you look at his perfect acceleration control! He's using his foot work to prevent under-steering while counter-steering to control the over-steer.

  • its all about the 7 baby rotor beats motor all the way

  • is it me or is the car shifting by itself?

I mean look at the shifter

  • the speed hes going i think he just keeps it in third coz it is a manual as you can see there is a clutch... just doesnt bother goin second coz hes goin to fast

  • i seen it move

  • it looks like its shifting by itseld but its not ,its just the transmission pulling around(thats why you buy performance motor mounts)tuffer and create less engine pull

  • so asians cant drive?

    wut now stereotypes!!

this guys kicks ass at driving!!

  • Asia Rules!!!!

  • i didnt see the whole clip

  • the shifter's right there u retard he just didnt shift much... drifitng aint about speed so no point in going to fast

  • yo passwordmike35. he is real dk (drift king) he was the 1 who created drifting in the first place. he was using manual.

  • Keiichi Tsuchiya is not drift king i TAKUMI from project d is only one king of drift.

  • rofl he invanted drifting u dumb :) dont be mad just because an asian guy invited something that is good to do with ur car

  • Drift King is the greatest drifter but he didn't invent it. Drifting spawned through an entire culture of mountain racers worldwide and the term was coined in Japan.

  • well he was the first 1 who drifted an entire course of racing with other cars thats wat it said on the fast n the furious tokyo drift special features

  • tsuchiya used to win races by so much that fans and spectators got bored. he started drifting on purpose to keep the crowd entertained, and would drift, not just oversteer. holding a slide and correcting a mistake are two completely different things. he, also, is the best drifter, as evident by his many, many videos. thus, keiichi tsuchiya is the drift king.

  • thats so damn smooth

  • lol 1:20 "Also very easy to control" yeah he makes it sound sooo easy.

  • rotary power!

  • braking drift seems alot easier. but all i know is drifting with the use of the hand-brake (e-brake)

  • there is more then one technique to drift...of course i use to always pull my e-brake in my corolla fx which is a fwd..but i dont consider it drifting...more like sliding...but you can still counter steer...i use to do it around 90 degree corners...but you can perform a braking drift...which is very difficult and doesnt rely on the cars drivetrain whether rwd or awd or fwd...using the cars weight and momentum...ive pulled it off quite a few times but it was way easier on wet roads

  • one prob the cost form the terrs can be more that the every car so that's one prob of Drifting

  • worth adding they made GTS 4 wheel drives to just to make it complicated :)

  • if its stock yes u can still drift tunning just makes it better for the driver and will just be tuned in how he likes it. people just have different feels and styles

  • Ok, lots of comments about whether skylines are rwd or awd, if drifting is possible with awd, and so on. It's like this: Skylines were available in GT-R and GT-S versions(mainly). GT-R's are AWD(no exceptions), and GT-S' are RWD. Besides, the Nissan in the video is a Silvia too. And hell yes, you can drift an AWD car, you can even drift FWD cars if you want to. It's harder, but fully possible. Also, you can drift stock cars, but pretty much all cars dedicated to drifting are tuned.

  • please enlighten me on how you can drift in a car that is fwd...

  • Lift-off drifting is the most common way to do it, by lifting of the throttle sharply when entering the corner you want to drift. You can probably use the common methods like handbraking and the Scandinavian flick, but as said, lift-off oversteer is the most common way. Hope that was what you wanted to know :)

  • well... i know how to "drift" but what i was refering to was when you said you can "drift" with a FRONT WHEEL DRIVE car fwd. this is impossible unless you pull the e brake which is not drifting it is ass dragging.

  • If you're going to split hairs here, wouldn't you agree that all that Fail Wheel Drive cars do is ass drag? C'mon.

  • what do you mean by FAIL? cuz i'm talkin about FRONT WHEEL DRIVE...

  • Front Wheel Drive fails. It's good for ass dragging through snow. The amount of grip your car has is entirely based on the four tires. A fail wheel drive car will only utilize two of those four possible grip points, therefore having the acceleration of out corners abilities cut in half. Think about it. Understeer, anyone?

  • All the methods I described can be used in an fwd car... It's just harder, and you have to have a well-balanced car. Haven't replied earlier because of work, sorry bout that.

  • Drifting.. the art of of letting your back wheels spin like crazy while in a control sideways movement. In some D1 championships they also mark on the spectacular smoke ure producing from rear wheels.. now explain how a FWD can do that..

  • OOOOKay... Do you just want to fight or something?? Drifting is the art of controlled oversteering. You can easily oversteer using any of the methods I described, although for PRO DRIFTING(like in D1 championships) rear wheel drive/ four wheel drive is the only real option, because of the fact that cars look much better smoking their rear tires/all tires than their front tires. Read a car mag for FWD reference, watch the norwegian driver Stian Hafsengen in his EsCos for 4wd. Ok?

  • chill out man. wasnt like i was out to get ya. :|.. i was simply stating wat drifting is. u even sed for urself. real option is rear wheel or 4wd. drop it as that man. fek. u can even drift in a lorry! just sayin, if u want that proper drift. its rear wheel or 4 wheel. either way somethings gotta try push ure ass along wen doign it to do a spetacular lasting drift. u can prob do alrite drift in the 6 litre golf gti that vw made. thats only coz ther sso much power in it.

  • No worries, I totally agree with what you say, and you were quite correct on the definition of drifting, was just in a bit of a bad mood after lots of comments about this:)

  • yea i agree..i doubt the pistons in that car r stock..also the engine has to be lighter so it cnt be stock

  • Its beautiful how they drift stock cars

  • 9 times out of 10 the only thing stock is the body

  • s2000 oooooooooooooooohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

  • He makes it look easy

  • WillTxR is right, the Type M , is the only version with rwd , all other skylines have awd, but you can drift with them also, because of the variabel differential , that can change the power that is going to the front, or rear wheels

  • Rx-7... ooo~

  • only the r34's where awd

  • idiot!!!!!

r32 gtr, r33 gtr, r34 gtr are awd but u can get them to only use the rear wheels if u disable the power to the front wheels.

  • Accually there are RWD versions. They are called the GTS25 Type M. but ALL GTR models are AWD regardless if its an R32, R33, or BNR34

  • the r32 r33 r34 were rwd, only the gtrs were awd. so i think

  • RX7's, R32's, 180sx's and S15's are all sick cars.

  • acura ? silvia ? have u ever herd of a skyline ? its the best for drifting and shit, just find the perfect tires

  • acutaly i have to dissagree i own an FC3S and i think there waight balance is the best for drifting a skyline that is rear wheel drive (most are AWD) is nice but they are way heavy and like to under steer really bad and you risk sliding into the wall... well thats my two cents LOL

  • most skylines were rwd. look it up. only the gtrs were awd.

  • skylines aren't really the best, 4WD is a hindrance in drift. RWD is what you want, so a silvia, or an acura, or the good ol' AE86.

  • they have RWD skylines too...

  • i know that RWD is what you want an FC3S is an RX7 i own one and i said that the RWD skylines are ok for drifting but they are a little heavy LOL

  • I swear most of the people on here with their opinions of cars are only based on videos they've seen and computer games. It's so easy to make shit up hiding behind a computer screen.

  • yeah...i hate idiots like that

  • agreed!!!

  • and yet, were all in front of computer screens right now, i learned to drift in real life by looking at videos, playing simulators, and then trying it in real life

  • what about lancer evo, subaru wrx-sti, toyota celica, lexus is300 etc.?

  • nice!!!thats all i got to say

  • lol BreadEatingCrackers, thats why we see alllllll these black racers then ye? *golfclap*

  • guys, a 200sx s15 is a new zealand new silvia. a silvia is made for the jdm 1999 and above is the silvia s15 model.

    silvia = jdm spec

    200sx = non jdm spec

  • stfu rednecks created drifting, asians just made it sexy

  • AHAHAHA YOU FUCKING RETARD! asians created drifting in the canyons when experimenting going around corner faster it didnt work but they thought it looked cool!

  • are u serious, have u heard of dukes of hazzard? asians started drifting in like the 80s at the earliest, dukes of hazzard days were like 60s.

  • No, that was power sliding.

Drifting was invented in Japan in 1970 by Takahashi in the Japanese Touring Car Championship.

  • powerslide is a sub-type of drift, but seriously it was the japanese that invented drifting and it's techniques. i have never seen a European or an American driver drift better than an average japanese driver.

  • u r a dumbass...drifting was seriously invented by the japanesse because usually USA cars are too heavy to drift easily.

  • its hard to drift a muscle car, hard, but possible, and i have proof, u dont, ur just jealous cuz im right.u said urself drifting was invented in 1970, dukes of hazzard was the 60s

  • lol

  • u r a stupid fuck head

  • cool

  • It's a nice silvia. lol

  • OOOOOoooo SHIT

  • wow, S2K, skyline, and an FD....wow Tsuchia is a god

  • it's a 200sx or Silvia, not Skyline.

  • Its not a 200sx since the guy says "Speed is behind the Silvia" so its a S15...and where did that other guy get skyline from...he must have been watching to much Initial D videos lol

  • bunlar neki beaa..gerçek drift kralı benim bennnnnnnnnn..heeeayyyyyyyyyyyyyytt beaaaaa.......

  • if u cant get a skyline get a infiniti as for drifting u can only drift on rwd and awd... there different methods on drifting too but its really an expensive hobby u have to replace ur tires every run

  • drift in a bike

  • damn, drifting in bike is dangerous and life-threatening !!! it becomes unstable while drifting a bike, don't even think that you can drift a bike like in a car - you'll endup

crashing. But powersilde is the only thing that can be done in a bike - it's smooth and never unstable.

  • why someone would ask ANYONE on youtube for advice is beyond me.

  • you should get the '72 AMC Pacer. best drifter ever!

  • no the AE86 (in usa it is called Toyota Coralla GT-S) is the best drifter. that is why he says it is like the 86 but renavated for 1 million yen. people don't use the 86 because 1. it doesn't look cool and 2. it isn't very fast, it only has like 180 hp

  • actually it only has 130

  • correct, your 100% correct !!!

  • but still...if anyone is looking to master drift they should drive this car. I mean I started out with my friends acura & it was like shit. I couldnt controlmy drift at all. But I stillgot good at it. THEN when I got my 86 for just a 1000 bucks...I realishedI would have become far more better than I am right now. So learn from my mistakes & buy this car even though its 20 yrs old! Trust me you wont regret it!

  • most likely your acura was ff d00d. you need rear wheel drive to drift. and i assume ur talkin about the ae86. thats a sick car

  • HELL YEAH BRO! U r so right abt AE86! ;)

  • pink gloves.

  • You can't drift a FWD car, all you could really do is fishtail it by holding the handbreak through the whole turn. RWD cars are the only way to go. 4WD cars suck for drifting because it will pull out of the drift as soon as you hit the gas.

  • no it under steers in a drift but u can drift by using the brakes

  • you can drift and power over and drift it like in rallys and tarmac stuff.

  • thank god. finally someone who is not a fuckin moron and realizes that you can not drift a FWD car. its ass dragging. idiots

  • actually u can, without ass dragging or using the Ebrake at all

    Braking drift

brake into a corner, to transfer weight, accelerate, this doesn't depend on the rear wheels, the front wheels are not allowed to lock in FWD, the rear wheels'll lock cause of the weight transfer and due to the general front heavy design of FWDs.

    it's a knwon drift, doesn't last long

    wikipedia that

and btw i'm not a fan of FWD, never will drift in one, but just for ur info going mad on people callin them morons

  • oh and by the way... if you look at your wikipedia for "drifting" and scroll down to cars... it says rear wheel drive... and i'm talking about like real drifting...

  • RAWR!!!

  • That FD is so sexy O_O

  • nissan skyline GTR r32!!

  • hello, he's in canada....

  • yeah ive seen a couple of rx7s (infinity one FC) on the streets. Im from canada too, get that one :D

  • i would suggest an old Dodge charger r/t

  • rx7

  • im a teen about to get my first car.. wat do u suggest i get (budget of $6000 canadian dollars). im not gonna drift but me and my friend sort of have a little competition of whos gonna be faster

  • hehe save up and get a Nissan 350z. the can go fast and still drift pretty well and they look so damn good

  • 350z:

    1. looks shit

    2. balance of the car was designed so that the weight of the car would be more towards the rear, effectively promoting understeer/to reduce oversteer (making drifting harder in a 350z)

    3. It's heavy as fuck and would take a lot of shit removing before it was good enough to drift.

  • So don't take this guy's advice, and don't buy a 350z if you're thinking about drifting, i suggest you look more into KT's videos as he has a lot more insight into the better cars for drifting.

Want a good/cheap car for drifting? Get yourself an S14 or S14a as they have the perfect setup for drifting even from standard factory condition.

  • yo, what about the Toyota Sprinter Tureno?

i don't think it's in production now but it's a good drift car!!! cheap and lightweight.

  • 350z = a heavy pos on 4 wheels. if u wana drift get a 240sx or silvia depending on where u live. i got a rwd evo6 conversion, it rapes :)

  • what is the best type of drivetrain to drift with?

    (ex. FR, MR, FF...)

    and what is the worst?

  • Fr are easier to drift FF are proably the most diffcult but it is possible to do FWD are good for drag and grip driving but you can drift them try a R32 shyline and MRs dont know much havent played with a mr yet but I have seen people drift with them keep drifting Keep it safe
