A prime example of what can happen when 2 generations of TV programmers...DON'T mix. Robert Urich was a great Vegas detective, even a great Spencer-for-Hire, but he was no Love Boat captain. Latinizing the opening theme did not endear this sad reboot, either. It sank faster than the Titanic. Be glad.

Well, actually the Orignial cast memembers (expect for Fred Grandy)did appear in an episode of this version it was called "Reunion" where they returned for Vicki's wedding. And for reasons unknown, they had Doc & Julie confess their love for each other. I didn't tune in to this version either, just wasn't the same -- especially on a low buget network.

Due to odd reasons when UPN was not in St.Louis. Then Larry Rice a envaglist in St.LOuis that has a netwrok in St.Louis desided to get UPN but, he refused to air all the shows like Buffy or Love Boat, cause its not a family show. So UPN was not in St.Louis until the Robert Brothers that own WURP(I belive that is right)brung UPN back to St.Louis and this time they showed all the shows, but too late for The Love Boat I never go to see it due someone in St.Louis being dumb.
