@thePakigal786 that is all what they are hear to discuss about. How important is it for her to APPEAR Muslim or is it more important to FEEL Muslim.. Does wearing clothes in a manner you are comfortable with, like she does, makes them a lesser Muslim or not..

@thePakigal786 i agree. but at the end, it's her choice if she does not want to wear her religion on her sleeve. because faith is part of your identity, not the only identity.. so it's her choice if she wants her appearance to be influenced by her religion or not.. i am a hindu, but by nt following all what i am supposed to doesn't make be less Hindu by my faith.. her faith should not be judged by her appearance..

@apurva321 Apurva, you are forgetting that hinduism and islam differ gr8ly in their tolerance levels. on the one hand, hinduism tolerates religious dissent and encourages independent thought (the bhagavada gita is an example where arjuna questions, even chides krishna). islam on the other hand brooks no dissent. one can be a hindu and follow a wide variety of practices. However, a muslim has no freedom of religious thought or expression.

@apurva321 pakigal is asking you not to look at islam thru the prism of hinduism, but thru the prism of islam. then her statements will make sense to you. We hindus mistakenly assume that all religions offer the same level of tolerance that hinduism does. however that is not the case. for eg, hindu gods are routinely caricatured in cartoons, comedy movies, etc and we take no offence. even if we do, v just file a court case or ask 4 an apology. muslims on the other hand, issue a call for murder.

@yashvenkatesh hmm.... i guess you are right.. difference in religion and upbringing leads to difference in opinion.. but if so .. i guess in this case, no one can decide what is wrong and what is right.. we can only express opinion through debate and not prove anything wrong or right.. but honestly i still believe that religion impacts your personality in an important way but taking it way toooo seriously can create small troubles which can be bothersome..
