According to the album (Telekon) credits, Rrussell Bell played violin on 'The Joy Circuit'. Nash The Slash played on a number of tracks on the 'Dance' album.
I was at the first night in Edinburgh and the crowd were electric, you could hardly hear them for the noise. My wife who is not the biggest fan was on here feet all night, the whole place jumping. Why pay money to see a gig like that when you are going sit on your butt all night, makes me feel sad for those on stage giving their all after all these years.
After seeing this clip I totally understand why bands that on at T in the park say why they totally love the Scottish crowd
Great sound on this and video also good. Needed your anti-shake on here a bit though. For a shot from Billy's side, goto "mateybloke" to see Astrdayne from the other side. Video and Audio also excellent.
HOLY BLOODY HELL these GUYS are just so MASTERS OF EVERYTHING THEY DO, EVERYTHING!!!! BEYOND WORDS OF HOW GOOD IT WAS TO SEE THEM AGAIN AT NOTTINGHAM ..... could hardly believe some people tho, just sat and reluctantly stood there ... HAVE YOU NO BLOODY SOUL ... THIS IS ULTRAVOX GIVIN THEIR ALL AFTER 23 VERY LONG YEARS .. AS MIDGE SAID TO THE STRAINS OF ''ONE SMALL DAY'', GET UP AN DANCE FOR F***S SAKE!!!!! Thank God I've a TICKET for The Roundhouse gig ... let it kick the damn ROOF OFF !!!!
This is brilliant. Your clips will keep me going til the DVD is released! Thanks V much. I tried to film some of the gig in Sheffield and a jobsworth kept coming and telling me to put my phone and camera away.......
My Mums nearly 60 and she was on her feet dancing last night in Nottingham...if you dont want get on your feet and show your appreciation, I guess you just arent inspired enough to be a true fan are you....me,I couldnt sit down!
LOL - i can see both sides of that comment ! At M'cr i was sat by some people who wouldnt/couldnt stand up, they were really cheesed off that they couldnt see from their seats ! But as u say, Midge encouraged the dancing etc. I think B'ham S/Hall is just a kinda venue where perhaps this audience of people were just unsure if they were ok to stand or might get told to sit by staff ? everyone was up in the end, right across the theatre, inc all the oldies (!) - great gig, everyone enjoyed it.:O)
Excuse me it was not a crap audience last night and I am certainly not over 50. I shouted and danced in the front row. Mind you I have been known to be the Voice! Midge Ure and Ultravox were fantastic and it was wonderful to hear the great song again live.
Thanks for this. If you compare it to other postings on here though it stands out a mile what a crap audience it was last night. I was the naughty boy towards the back who stood up and danced! It only really revved up after Midge said something, didn't it!
Still a great night though, and your reminder of it is much appreciated!
Don't play a gig in a seated venue. It kills it. Its as simple as that. I was at Bristol and everyone sat and smoked a pipe. You can't boogie in a chair and if you do people think you're doing something rude. But it was totally, totally awesome.
i seen midge in a seated venue, when we stood up to dance, we were told to sit down again by bouncers, then midge asked us all to come down the front of the stage...that was magic! for an old geezer he still kicks the ass of all these new "bands" agreed?
wow - this is awesome, this would have been great to see, glad YouTube could bring it to me :)
