there are eight partners rpg in Fallout 3 and New Vegas and a lot more in the old fallout games.....and in almost every single one you get the best partner/canoned partner/man's best friend in the world and in the dlc he is very good

you should space out the side quests in between the main mission, like after this do trouble at the homefront(go back to vault 101), and maybe two other ones and then go back to the main mission
