@DeVoN420zz The reason he doesn't want to use a torque converter is that they have a big parasitic power loss (about 20%) because of that big rubber belt and the jackshaft bearings. In comparison a centrifugal clutch has zero parasitic loss, because once it locks up there are no moving parts to use up power.

Also, when the motor spins at double the stock RPM (if not more), you can go really fast with one gear.
