The comparison falls apart way before the vocals. Santigold's tracks go into directions that M.I.A.'s can't. She's (Santigold) 3-dimensional whereas MIA is only 2.

I'm not hating on MIA. I just don't think her quality compares.

I mean I wish they get MORE popularity here in the US. Whenever I mention MIA or Santogold, the only thing people heard from them are Paper Planes or (even more rarely) Creator. I like all their songs, so I just wish people would check out their other stuff. It is good.
