Sure, $10k may not sound like much, but that's the only thing the Fighting Game community has at the moment. When it reaches levels of Korean Starcraft where the money goes from $50-100k + commercial sponsors, it can be a good way to make a living. The caveat of course being that you have to be highly skilled.

What aspect of the world are you best at?

@OGTheDemon The point of this argument, if you can even call it that now, is that you claim video games take no skill and are easy to master. Whether you believe it or not, this is not true. That is the same for music. I can LEARN to play guitar in a matter of days but will never master it in such a time. Same with video games. You can learn to do a combo but put yourself in a tournament situation and I can assure you, you will likely fail.
