How many PETA spokespersons will spend three hours all by themselves removing line left by irresponsible anglers? You would be surprised just how many surf-fishermen take time out from their LEISURE day to clean up someone else's mess!

I live in California right on the river and there are always people from out of town leaving their garbage on the beach, its really a pain in the a**. Especially when you take your kids down to the beach to play and you have to spend the first 10 minutes picking up beer cans so your kids wont play with them.

Whats wrong with littering? I mean noones going to get hurt if I toss a little gum wrapper or a piece of paper or a cigarette butt or a couple of soda cans out of my car windows. Do you live in California? If you aren't trolling with the first part of what you said, you should probably keep in mind that California is CONSTANTLY ON FIRE, so perhaps tossing cigarette butts out the window into what is typically dry brush might be a stupid idea.
