He made the "lunatic" mistake of running for the Presidency despite only holding the office of a U.S. Congressman.

People wrote him off as a fool for doing so -- and they were right to do so.

It's not a big request to ask would-be Presidential candidates to first have held statewide office -- or some terminal rank -- prior to running for President.

For all of Kucinich's brilliance, he was a fool to run for president when he did.
