You could be different. Perhaps "do this or I'll kill you" means "I respect your desire to be modest" in Arabic.

i don't understand these communities based on broad ethnic categories like "arab" and "asian." I live in Japan and I know that the various asian countries are very diverse in language and culture. So the idea of an "asian community" in the US seems entirely racial to me. I imagine so-called Arab countries are similarly diverse in language and culture. As a person of European descent, it would seem silly to join a "European" community here in Japan. I don't get it.
