But when he spoke out against the war in 'Nam, he basically signed his death certificate and I think he knew it. Further proof that Martin wasn't just for black people...his journey included POOR people...and the poor in America was comprised of more than just blacks. There is more to this interview. MSNBC had a biography series on TV people called Television Titans and they did one on Merv Griffin. On it they showed the beginning of this interview where Merv asks Dr. King what he does for fun and he gets Dr. King to smile. I'd never seen Dr. King smile such a big smile before. It's almost surreal.
