  • hipsters.

  • People do get put in jail for hopping freight. I got to go twice for criminal trespass misdemeanors.

  • so, are you the one who called it in ?

  • i'm sure the cops did them a favor

hot shower, warm meals, mattress to sleep on, tv

  • I saw two hobos standing in an open boxcar a long time ago on the old C&O

as the train was going through Lansing, Michigan. Years later I saw two scared

looking kids hanging on to some boxcars on the same line, it looked like they

jumped on for a joyride and were scared to jump off as the speed of the train was

increasing heading west toward Grand Rapids. I would have reported them but had

    no access to a phone.

  • Here's reasons of why I don't live in a house. Jeffery dahmer and Ted bundy or how about Timothy mcveigh or more like Osama bin laden more huh?

  • Vancouver was always a hot yard. I once got hassled buy the bull up there just for standing at the crossing gate waiting for a train to pass. Since I wasn't on RR property wasn't much he could do. BNSF and UP bulls were the worst !

  • By the way, the last guy hobo I found riding a freight train was wanted in a different state for murder and a weapons charge...

  • @MrCzechers- You're an idiot! For your information, Railroad Police are fully commissioned law enforcement officers with full police and arrest powers. Wondering how I know this? I am a Special Agent (Railroad Cop) for a Class I Railroad. Trespassers=theft, injuries, law suits, property damage, burglaries.... just to name a few. This is why we get paid good money to do what we do.

  • @td6bs dude, if i was going to be a police officer i would want to be a "railroad cop",, looks Looks interesting

  • @badgerattoadhall Well there's never a dull moment... in foot prusuits, doing investigations, and trips to the grey bar hotel. I'd say im just as active if not more at times than when I worked for the county.

  • @td6bs No, I really dont care how you know this. You're still a dick, though.

  • so ridiculous this country makes everyone out to be criminals for things that hurt or harm noone

  • @l3054 dude it is not their property

  • @badgerattoadhall the trains are already on those routes their hitching a ride hurts noone its pointless bullshit when we should be looking for the real criminals like serial killers rapists and drug dealers this country is very quickly becoming an aggressive police state

  • @l3054 private property is private property

  • @badgerattoadhall its still bullshit bullshit is bullshit no matter where you live theres no point to it your argument is invalid if alls you can say is pretty much just because

  • @badgerattoadhall Well said. Some people find it very difficult to screw that fact in to their thick FUCKING brains.

  • @l3054 How stupid are you? While you may not understand the reason why it is illega to trespass on RR property or why it is also illegal to ride a frieght train here one article that can enlighten you...

Look up "ANGEL MATURINO RESENDEZ" the "railroad killer"..

  • @td6bs dont blame a huge group of people for what a few do i understand the reason there is no reason it really is stupid bullshit if someone wants to murder people hes gonna do it hitching a ride on a train doesnt turn someone into a killer

  • that must have pissed off the hothead trainmasters. Z train stopped. especially that dickhead Mel in Pasco or whatever his drunken ass name was

  • Those morons couldnt make it as REAL police officers, so they became railroad DICKS instead.

  • @MrCzechers most if not all of them wee "real police officers"

  • Things sure have changed in the past 80 years... My one great-grandfather used to ride the rails as a hobo during the Great Depresssion, and he told me one time how he got caught and press-ganged into working for the railroad for a couple weeks a punishment.... Might be just the thing to discourage people from trying to take a free-ride. XD

  • seems like a nice job, inspecting hundreds of cars because some hipster saw 'catching out' the other day..

  • why do you film trains

  • @Bmci325 Don't ask a foamer why they film trains. That's like asking a monkey why it eats bananas.

  • The economically sensible thing to do would've been to have wannabe freight riders sign a release form (absolving the railroad of any potential legal damages) and then charge them a fare to set up camp on the trains, not arrest them.

  • Is it a felony? I'd lose my job if it is(work for an airline).Would like to ride a freight one day!,but can't lose my job!

  • @stingpower class 3 misdemeanor 100 dollar fine

  • riding freight trains is by far the best way to see america. what is more american than riding freight trains? god bless all the railroad workers and railfans who are hobo friendly.

  • just another day in the "land of the free"

  • i know them thats dirty mike and the boy dont arrest them HAHAHA no but seriously who got a bowl

  • Cool Vid man

  • What were located inside these bags?

  • I road trains cross country 25 years ago & was never tossed in jail by a bull. Escourted out of the yard, yes. But never jailed or fined. I even knew yards where the bulls wouldn't bother a train hopper & others where they would. You basically learned which yards to stay out of by word of mouth. Of course there are less places to ride on freight trains now then their used to be....

  • @rbratcherjr there are def more places to ride nowadays, there are not as many open boxcars but the new style of grainer cars are great for riding.

  • @HOCKEY8520 But I don't see as many hobo's & other train riders (on frieght trains) like I used to several years ago. I think they are riding them a lot less now.

  • I had five riders on a UP train a few years back: a bridge control operated spotted them and has us meet the local PD to detrain them. They were riding intermodal cars also THE most dangerous cars to ride, openings you could fall through right onto the track. Not a good idea!

  • I've been down this line a bunch of times, never got pulled off. These guys might have been doing something dumb... (like hopping 5 deep)

  • In the Old days those bums woulda felt the power of the RR police nightstick

  • Too bad they didn't park on your side of the crossing! Cool video.

  • That's what those hobos get, BNSF should add a $1000 fine in addition to their arrest.

  • And that is why you aren't in charge of anything.. What do you plan on accomplishing by fining homeless, broke, impossible to keep track of individuals $1000 each? That is why they usually just let them go.. locking them up won't accomplish anything.

  • @CSXRP

where there's no risk of death, life is just the logistics of breath.

  • @CSXRP some of you railfans need to take the stick out of your bums. Do you honestly think train hoppers do not know the risks of riding the rails. Trains are big, heavy, hurt and kill. THEY KNOW THAT. Arresting them will not stop them from doing it again. This has been going on for centuries now. and like southforsunshine said, hobos and trainmen have had a relationship for hundreds of years now. But you railfans with sweat hard for the companies and the agents/bulls will never understand that.

  • @kaylakaaos Losers like yourself who aren't railfans need to suck up the truth. As many as I reported seeing tresspassers riding on rails, CSX police thanked me, and any railroader that spot hobos on any of the trains report it. So you know absolutly nothing. Also, I said GETTING A JOB which all normal people are suppose to be doing and affording a car is the best way to get around. Riding the freights is not the answer to anyones problems.

  • @CSXRP Of course they thanked you, you did half their job for them you idiot. Face it, you' re just another stupid foamer who thinks they know everything about rail roading because they watch trains pass them by all day long. Plenty of RRPD and yard bulls will do nothing more than remove you from the train/yard, for whatever reason, mostly because it's a damn hassle to do anything else. I personally find it hilarious that people like you find the need to report them.

  • As a "future conductor" you'll never make it on the railroad.. being up the special agents butt like that. Hobos and trainmen have a relationship that dating back hundreds of years, you young bucks will never understand that.

  • Yeah right.

  • @southforsunshine Some railroad workers are former hobos and some hobos are former railroaders. Whenever i decide that i dont want to travel anymore i plan on becoming a railroad worker.

  • @southforsunshine Maybe a long time ago where railway regulations weren't as civilized and strict, but today, freight railways are no place for people to be at, they are running a business and service, not a relationship.

  • I think theres bigger things the BNSF Pigs should be worried about. This is nothin

  • This is exactly what the BNSF Police should worry about. It is not a big deal until one of these people get killed or injure a railroad worker. There are a lot of violent criminals who use the railroad to move from one place to another.

  • @BNSF2184 How is this nothing? This is very serious stuff. That's one of a railcop's main jobs is preventing tresspassers.

  • The 5.1 Bridge crossing the Willamette, My brother lives right by those train tracks, that's like the I-5 for Amtrak, they pass by everyday

  • then they go out and hop another train LOL

  • @staintedcards well ... YEAH !!!

  • big deal they go too court and pay a fine for trespassing unless they are wanted

  • ya, it is a big to-do about nothing. neat to watch though.

  • @myamazingworld little more serrious than that now days it's a federal offense and continued actions could lead to a felony with homeland security being what it is

  • @staintedcards they usually all have warrants out for them. Nice bust every time :)

  • @staintedcards And I hope they learned their lesson on not to board freight trains ever again. Freight trains aren't designed to carry PASSENGERS, it's designed to carry FREIGHT.

  • Yeah, no free rides! HA! Nice catch.

  • lol
