It's true that a lot of Incubus' new stuff is not as complex, but that doesn't necessarily mean that it is less creative. Any band that can change as much as Incubus has, while maintaining a level of control and authenticity, deserves a lot of respect. But just for the record, I am also a bigger fan of their older stuff.

Music evolves. Old bands change to new bands. Now days, people think you have to over complicate music to prove you're good, which is why we're stuck with this grindcore and death metal bullshit. The best musician is the one who can play the most complicated lines, but knows he doesn't have to inorder to make music beautiful. Can't you read who their influences were on their CD booklet to fungus amongus? I can't remember what they were, but you can deff. hear the influence of those bands in that album, and I believe they have made such a beautiful mixture of sounds.

Read a book called "the way of the superior man" and "Blue truth" by David Deida they are very good books on life and relationships. The first one helps with understanding women and relationships. They are both on amazon and you can look inside them. So check them out. I hope things go well with your other girlfriend.

Light Grenades is awesome and this song is so beautiful.Everyone should have this album.
It's a good thing that they keep changing their sound(I love the variation of styles and the fact that they making NEW stuff 'cause in my opinion that's why a band is good). Just because a previous song had success doesn't mean all their songs have to sound like that one (if so their music would be extremely boring)
They are the most awesome, fantastic and original musicians.
