  • @shikhakat The movie was released in 1967.

  • still lots of room for improvement for both video and audio

  • correct pitching for song

  • i have not heard of another song which would be as good in lyrics , music, melody as this one. the decency that the two actors display is extraordinary. it adds to the beauty of the song. such beautiful lyrics, such wonderful music, such decency displayed by the actors , i have not seen any other such song before. my best song.

  • are the actors and actress all singers or they back played the musics??

  • @TheDimasisk ..No, they just lip read the song, the singers are other people, legends in the music world..the song is played on a tape/speakers and the actors lip sing the song.

  • 2 of the most romantic actors

  • such songs are rechares ou soul indeed marvellous

  • awesome song!! beautifully sung. what a melody!! old is gold!!!

  • Watch this if you dont believe in romance and want to change your mind! :)

  • Yes indeed .........

  • Don't you think the original instrments on the playback music add to the emotions of the song? Digital music of today is devoid of any emotion.

  • Very heart warming song!

  • Rafi at his best

  • The second paragraph is beautiful:

Teri ankh me hai khumar sa

Meri chaal me hai suroor sa

Yeh bahaar hai kuch piye hue

Yeh samah nashen me hai chur sa

Expresses the drunken mood of a pair of lovers so aptly and so in style.....

  • raffi rahab at his best refreshing voice by rafi rahab. thankx for uploading.

  • i agree with everyone who thinks this is the finest duet in filmi music...everything is superb, lyrics by anand bakhi have are delicately nuanced, music of kalyanji anandji is up-lifting and beautifully balanced, mohammad rafi and lata have sung with heart trying to surpass each other and what to say of grace of miss tagore and devilishly handsome mr kapoor! it is a masterpeace!

  • one of the greatest duets ever produced. lyrics, music composition, superb voice of rafi saab and lata ji and above all picturisation all blended with perfection. i dont think a romantic song of this level can ever be produced. salute to everyone had a role in making of this great song. loved everytime i listened to it.....

  • Lyrics are by anand bakshi.

  • thanks for this song.

  • There is absolutely no solution to Rafi Saab! He is indeed the best playback singer that every existed on the face of this earth. He is the solution to singers like Kishore Kumar, Mukees Jee etc. I think the best male and female singing combination is of Rafi Saab & Lata Jeet.

  • What a lovely duet song with so good composition....no song will surpass this one...it is sad that we never get to hear such song.....a romantic song indeed!

  • nice song

  • Video quality is SOOOO BAD !!!!!!!

  • kia comment karay banda aisay song par... bas suno aur kaheen kho jao...

  • Evergreen song from RAFI Saheb. I was in Lucknow when this film was released and there were two Cinema halls AMNE SAMNE. Both were showing this film AMNE SAMNE. THANKS * 100000.........0000

  • mindblowing duet song.

  • Must rank among 10 best duets ever. Rafi and lata at their enchangting best. I salute KA for the composition ,orchestra and the music

  • And....that style of handsome Sashi......

  • shashi kapoor is such a great actor. he was very talented but largely did only romantic hero roles. i think most indian directors were underequipped to handle his talent.

  • the song i like most ever........!!!!

  • Ilove this song it is my all time fav song. thanks

  • Lovely song of Muhammed Rafi and Lata. ab na is tarah ke songs bante hain na hi old filmo jaisi filmen banti hain. Old Songs and Old films ki baat hi kuch aur hai, really ye songs golden hits of all time kehne ke qabil hain.

  • I'd like to know who wrote these romantic lyrics:"Mera dil dharaqta hai aaj kal teri shokh nazroon se puchh kar". Whoever wrote this song gets 90% of the credit. Never mind who sang the song. Ishrat,Toronto

  • Anand Bakshi

  • @ iansari3

Can't be put more succinctly! Very very true: Anand Bakhshi was a genius in every which way when it came to writing theses songs of old.

  • there can be no second opinion on this.. its just wonderful... tops the list of my persnl favs... that i listen for my loved one.

  • @kchopra4080able Good song sir..Cannot understand all but it is very meaningful.Thank you.

  • Will try to translate it for you. Sometime this week.

Its one hell of a duet, written, composed and crooned with equal excellence.

  • That would be great. Look forward to that.

  • @kchopra4080 Hi there!when I listen to old hindi music I am almost in spiritual ecstasy. The feeling surpasses all language, mind you I feel the same about Manna dey,Mukesh,Kishore etc.Bollywood music nowadays has descended into an abyss, and I feel heartbroken that it's become bastardised!I apologise for the expression.

  • @MsNirvikalpa

Actually that's a somewhat milder expression! Really what one feels about the drop in standards there is difficult to write down in any civil way! Can't agree more with you on that score. Most stuff is oversexed and under brained! And that would be putting it mildly!

  • in one word it's perfection at its best

  • The most loved song!!!

  • its is my all time fav duet wah rafi sab and wah lataji no one come near both of u

  • Wah Rafi Sahab u very rightly said" tum mujhe yoon bhula na pao gey, jab kabhi bhi sunno gey geet mere, sangg sangg tum bhi gungunao gey."

  • Love this song the first time I heard it...both of them look so good in their youths.

  • amazing lyrics!!!!!!!!!!!

  • ..the best duet in ever made...
