Well the gma concert was probally Whitneys worst performance ever vocal wise. But that happens to all singers. She must have been going through something because now her voice sounds even stronger than her album. she's getting back her old techniques. I heard her sing in this new movie sparkle and she's getting it all back!

I saw Whitney live in Central Park that Day. Folk were just excited to see her, most didn't pay attention to the cracks. We all know Whitney can sing. She sings from the soul and her fans love that in her. She is not techinical like Mariah because she sings with emotion. Yes she has given us alot in her career, but this may be her very last album... so we should enjoy every huff, every talked out word, every crack, and stretch of her vocal chords. For the simple fact that it is Whitney. If you are a fan of hers... just love her for what she is trying to do. And support her. She wont be around forever, so people need to get off of their high horses. She IS a legend.

Whitney took three years to make that album. I can't imagine how many takes it took, or how many full tracks were just canned by the label. I like it, but ofcourse alot has changed. Rolling Stone wrote an article and they summed it up well when they wrote: "At 46, Houston is not the singer she once was. Time and hard living have shaded some notes off that amazing range; the clear bright voice that dominated radio has given way to a huskier tone - less powerful but more sultry."

On the commercial for the Whitney/Oprah interview, you can hear a clip of Whit's live performance. And clearly, her voice is not "gone". But it's not even about that. On the commercial for the Whitney/Oprah interview, you can hear a clip of Whit's live performance. And clearly, her voice is not "gone". But it's not even about that. Because when you do drugs such as cocaine and allegedly crack, that has a direct effect on her VOICE and her VOICE is what she uses to make money. That's why she will never hear the end of it. If she were to write a book, it would make more money than her singles. And her drug use will affect the outcome of the book in terms of her being capable of writing it. Drug use does affect the voice though and she is trying to sell albums....

I adore Whitney! I do, but this wasnt good...I think that Whitney have to realise that her voice has changed and that she cant play around with it as much as she could before... And she have to realise that she cant jump on the stage and being a diva emidietly! I think she should have taken it slow and focused on the vocals and not on the entertainment! She can reclaim the title and give us an epic comeback but to do that she have to realise that she have begin from scratch.Love the album though
