@RedsUnited25 I don't agree with their methods here, at all, but there was legitimate reason to be angry; The Portland Police Bureau had unjustifiably killed three people that year. Something needed to be done about it, but I agree: this was not a productive way to affect change. Still, it was non-violent/non-destructive protest, it's understandable that they were angry, and it's good that people have the freedom to express their feelings in our society.

I honestly believe most of these people in masks were just looking for a reason to try and be disruptive rather than have a legitimate protest which could actually bring this issue to attention to the people that actually have the ability to do something about it in the Government. I admit my emotions got the best of me and I am biased towards the police because I have some keen insight. However, both experiences were long ago and in different times. Today, here in PDX I personally feel it is sad how these public servants are being treated.
