  • Wow this is really good

  • Miriam is actually voiced by a british singer named Miriam Stockley that's why Miriam is a great english vocaloid

  • i love her but there are a few REALLY good english songs with luka shockingly enough and they barely have the accent! look for lukas song called Circus monster and Lukas song called Secret

  • I like her voice alot.More than Sweet Ann's

  • MIRIAM. when used right can sound so amazing... a lot of people dont take time to work with her and make her the best she can be... im one of them >_>

  • The ONLY GOOD song I have heard sung in English by a Vocaloid.

  • @MagicalGirlUsagi Look up Magic Moments sung by Big Al, Sweet Ann and Sonika.

  • buen songs :D

  • This is amazing..!! She sounds so real..!!

Brb.. Must leg brain reboot again

  • Miriam can't have an Append, all Appends belong to Crypton Future Media. Miriam belongs to Zero-G.

  • the truth, I'm a fan of Vocaloid who singing in Japanese (Miku, Kaito, Len, Rin, etc) but certainly those who sing in English (Leon, Miriam, Big Al, Lola, etc.) are as good as them :3 I just do not understand that there are people who say it is not true e-e I mean, after all they are Vocaloid's!nwn

  • This isn't fly me to the moon...and that isn't what I imagine Miriam to look like when I hear her name, but I like the picture...but this IS NOT fly me to the moon...Fly me to the moon isn't even an English song!!

  • @Sailorsallyrainbow Actually, it is. This is fly me to the moon from Bart Howard, not the japanese song. The girl in the picture is Asuka of Evangelion, the anime that used Fly me to the Moon as an ending, not Miriam.

  • Much better than the other english vocaloids I've heard. I think people don't get that these ARE SUPPOSED TO SOUND LIKE REAL PEOPLE! not like robots singing.

  • OMG...Miriam sounds so humnaly !!!

  • She looks like someone from Sailor Moon

  • @emicat97 she doesn't have official artwork for her, on her boxart she has a photo of a blond/silver haired woman, so many people make her a silver haired woman, normally. This one is pretty unusual for the art, it looks like someone just took an anime character and put the picture for the song.

  • @9tailNaruto Well, the picture is of Asuka, from Neon Genesis Evangelion. They used "Fly me to the moon" as the ending theme for that series, so that may be why the uploader made the connection.

  • @9tailNaruto

i thought the picture was of miriam stockley, her voice provider and a singer

  • @mokana713 It may be her picture, but I haven't found anything that says that that picture is her. So, it could be Miriam Stockley's picture, but it may not be.

  • @9tailNaruto

it makes sense for it to be her because the big selling point of the vocaloid was who voiced it

  • This is fantastic. You are quite good. XD

  • Sounds quite lifelike, in my opinion... Cool.

  • This is the best ENGLISH vocaloid I've heard so far. Append Version, ftw?

  • this is incredible

  • It sounds very good

  • Hmm... Might get flamed for saying this, but when I heard of the crazily advanced "Vocaloid" singing software, I expected more. Maybe I don't know what the standards are, but this sounds awful compared to what I'd have thought it would be.

  • @cloudbroken

A lot of the English Vocaloids can't match up to the Japanese ones, but it really all falls down to the user. Remember, in Vocaloid and UTAU (UTAU is basically a free version of Vocaloid), that each and every note and syllable are strung together by hand. A lot of work is going to be put in for a Vocaloid to match up with a real singer, but when it comes to hitting notes and having a unique robotic voice, Vocaloids have the upper hand, and it really all falls down to the user.

  • @NeonEdges13 Fair enough. But if I'm going to get an opinion of the ability of the software, I'd personally have to compare it to music I'm familiar with. That said, I don't know much Japanese music.

  • @cloudbroken Is this your first time hearing vocaloid? There're better one than this.

  • @xXHikkiStationXx: haha, she looks like one of em XD

i haven't watched that in years xc

  • At least she can say her L's.~ :]

  • Her "please be true" part is the only time it didn't sound like some sort of malfunctioning machine. :D

  • she looks like sailor moon ^-^

  • @Surfur1994 hmm...that's exactly what I thought of, but I think she actually looks more like Sailor Venus.

  • You think people only being familar with this track from Evangelion is sad? There are people out there who think that this is originaly from Bayonetta! LOLOLOL!

  • @Buffalo1NY And people who think it's from You're Beautiful :)

  • lol when i saw this title it made me think of spongebob o_o Flyin to the moon!Moon ride!moon ride!-_- Gawd im such a dork.

  • BEST ENGLISH VOCALOID EVER.

  • I like the voice. :P

  • is this an effect that is part of your real vocals?

  • @novanine9

it's actually a voice synthesis program.

  • Huh. Weird, she sounds SO much better than some of the other songs. I like her :3 But I like Prima and Sweet Ann more.

  • FINALLY!!! Mirian doesn't sound like crap for once. Wish this could happen with the others that have horrid pronunciation...

  • @beyondthegrave2005 Horrid pronounciation? You must be talking about the Japanese vocaloids/utauloids. Kasane Teto, Hatsune Miku, Neru Akita etc.

  • @Zwergie222 Miku's not a problem if you know how to use her, but I was referring to Leon, Sonika, Prima, Tonio, MEIKO, KAITO... you know... the official releases with horrid pronunciation.

  • @beyondthegrave2005 Sonika isn't THAT bad; she just likes homophones...

  • I don't know about you, but I think Miriam could sing backup for ol' Louie Armstrong in this song!

  • @Gordygoo12 ....Louie Armstrong sang this? I thought Frank Sinatra was the only person who did this. But Louie or Frank, i agree

  • @potimusmaplestory Ahaha, yeah. I mixed up their names ^.^"

  • @Gordygoo12 but louie WOULD be good at this

  • I Love it

  • I kinda hate Miriam's design.

    e.e

  • @cheeseballstopp What are you talking about? Miriam doesn't have a persona design.

  • @MiriamSaka17 Oh, durr, I'm stupid. Sorry. I really haven't seen much on Miriam at all, and I thought that the picture above was her...

    ...

    ...

    oops.

  • @cheeseballstopp No....she has a design. right here. You just have to go to Photobucket and type in Vocaloid Miriam.

  • @cheeseballstopp

Haha. That's Asuka from Evangelion. :P

  • Two of my favorite things... Vocaloid and Evangelion. Awesome and very well done!

  • I would not like them to sound too real, It would to easy to fake your own voice.

  • Huh...I thought the Vocaloid would sound more..."natural"...since Miriam's based on songs recorded by Miriam Stockley (a British singer).

But I bet the English will improve and soon there will be a Mariah for Mariah Carey.

    ...

    Or not.

  • She actually sounds like a real English singer! :D Other vocaloids either only sound like real people in Japanese or can't sing understandable English.

  • @superstrawberyy

I've seen a video (or more accurately heard a video) with Hatsune Miku singing a very passable rendition of "Der Hölle Rache kocht in meinem Herzen" from the opera "The Magic Flute" in German and sounded fairly real in most parts.

  • @MATRlK Yep, I have it in my favorites. It's quite the interesting piece not only because it's very passable German, but also because it's the only German Vocaloid song I've heard.

  • @MATRlK Someone also used her for an excellent rendition of Ave Maria in German.

  • @superstrawberyy Well she is Miriam, Miriam is considered the best english vocaloid, because she's the clearest and easiest to make sound real, out of the english vocaloids.

  • @superstrawberyy It's because her voice is based off of the English singer Miriam Stockley :)

  • @superstrawberyy That's because this vocaloid was sampled off an English singer, unlike the others, which were done by Japanese singers.

  • @xviyo The other English vocaloids were sampled from Japanese singers? What I had meant was that from the little I've heard of the English vocaloids, Miriam is the only one that I can understand really well.

  • @superstrawberyy Wait, now I'm confused. @_@ I thought you were talking in comparison with Miku and Luka and such. Whoops, sorry I misread what you typed!

  • @xviyo It's alright, I should've been more clear in the first place ^^

  • @superstrawberyy

    Desu-desu-desu-desu-desu-desu-desu-desu-desu-desu-desu-desu-desu-desu-desu-desu-desu-desu-desu-desu-desu-desu-desu-desu-desu-desu-desu-desu-desu-desu-desu-desu~

  • @superstrawberyy I thought that's because Miriam's voice data is by Miriam Stockley, so she's suppose to sing in English only.

  • @seemimi Out of all the English vocaloids, I find her to be the easiest to understand. Sorry the comment is easily misunderstood, it's a year old and I had completely forgotten about it until people started replying.

  • nice

  • nice, did the music amde from sampling as well... that's too good to be true @.@

  • I can only imagine how much harder it is to synthesize english than Japanese.

  • @TheBandGeekInvasion Because English just HAD to have all these random-ass vowel-consanant conjunctions,while Japanese is a perfect,no nonsense,no-random-pronunciation pure vowel-based beautiful language.

  • @UTAU53Yui Yeah, lol. Don't you just love dip-thongs? =P

  • @TheBandGeekInvasion ...Uhm...due to the fact that i'm probably underaged,I have no idea what you just said O-O;

  • @UTAU53Yui Lol, dip-thongs aren't underwear. It's when two or more vowel/consonate sounds are blended together. Like R. ah-r

  • @TheBandGeekInvasion *feels stupid* Well! Thanks for telling me so I don't make a fool out of myself! But yeah, they're great. And words like Worchester and Cheyenne, ooh,I could pronounce those in the womb!

  • @UTAU53Yui hehehe Worchester is an amazing word!

  • @TheBandGeekInvasion Mm,especially when a third grader who insists on pronouncing things the way they're spelled gets a hold of it,and starts making themselves look even more stupid,so much so that they're still too embarassed to correct themselves all of 6 years later.

  • @UTAU53Yui

Oh how articulate of you. I'm sure you had the vocabulary of a grad student too.

  • @NekuThat1DeadKid No,of course not.In fact,I'm not even in high school yet :D But I make it a point to NOT speak horribly like 99% of Americans. For one,I know how to pronounce the word "recognize".

  • @UTAU53Yui That makes you genius be cause I totally can't pronounce that word -eyeroll- here have cookie.

  • @NekuThat1DeadKid Well tat makes us both geniuses because if you'd go outside for once you'd know that no one else can pronounce it *eyerollback*

  • @UTAU53Yui I was being sarcastic, derp :9.

  • @NekuThat1DeadKid yay,you know something else :D

  • @TheBandGeekInvasion you mean "diphthongs"? It has an 'h' after the 'p' and its not hyphenated. I'm sorry to be all grammar nazi on you, but it cought my eye, and it wouldn't stop bothering me... D:

  • @AyuRox1 Tha'ts fine lol. Thanks for correcting me. I'd only heard it when people were talking about it, I'd never seen it spelled. Thanks for the correction ^_^

  • jupirer? LOL

  • Ooh ! Me next ! I want to pray among the stalls !

  • Miriam is Asuka?

    Lulz, she sounds awesome here.

  • This is so perfect ! *O*

  • Miriam Stockley.

  • such a smooth voice! the most realistic one ive found so far!

  • Jew peeler and mars.

  • Quite sweet. I actually like this, Miriam feels more relaxed and "the part" then most of the other vocaloids singing this song.

  • its amazing that i can actually understand mariam. Shes i think the best engloid. She sounds so calm and sweet.

  • Miriam is the best english vocaloid!

  • immm pretty good but it sounds too much like me 0.0

  • Why is Miriam wearing a Cirno dress?

  • Ha ha, Miriam and Frank Sinatra.....

  • thats the song from bayonetta

  • Sounds wonderful :D

  • I love this vocaloid because she can actually sing english songs without it sounding like a jumble, unlike when vocaloids made for j-pop do it. xD

  • Sounds kinda like..

    Sweet Ann.

  • i really like it...very pretty. ive listen to many "fly me to the moon" but i sorta like this one the most

  • @sa1ku2ra3 me too.

    i mean..tetos was good too,but i like this the most too x3

  • does that matter?

  • @DarkLord939393

That isnt a picture of Miriam; It's a picture of Asuka from Evangelion

  • @AnimeAnimeMangaAnime oh hehehe :)

  • I can actually understand her!

    Joy to the world!

  • @HangedHourai She is an english vocaloid =]

  • @decorarocks we know she's an english VOCALOID, but english vocaloid are not usually understandable though.

  • @NingyoHimeDoll I didn't spell vocaloid wrong....

  • @decorarocks I know that .__. I wrote VOCALOID because it's more correct to write VOCALOID in uppercase, not because you spelt it wrong :3 and the second time I was lost in thought and I've even wrote "vocaloid" instead of "vocaloids" :°3

  • いいねー!

  • wow this is really good im so glad ^^ its much better then i hoped !!!! 5/5~~~!

  • It's certainly not perfect, but it IS good. It sounds nice, although still a bit synthy and the audio cutting off suddenly at the end is a tad jarring.

Despite it not being perfect, I have to admit I find something quite charming about it. I keep coming back to listen to this version specifically.

  • It's good, but it sounds and feels so... synthy...

Is there any way to make it sound... plain? Basic? Like the sort of singing your average joe could carry off?

  • vocaloid 1's vocaloids were ment to be great BACKING vocalists, vocaloid 2's singers sound much more real :D watch this song sung by a singer on vocaloid 2 and it sounds much more real XD

  • -claps-

    Go Miriam~<3

Show those new VOCALOIDs that the veterans still have a song in them too ;D

  • this miriam was based on miriam stockley

  • OMG *¬*

  • Lets me waht spring is like on jupirere?

  • she kinda says "jupirer" xD

  • lola, miriam, leon and prima are from the UK.

  • wasn't this the british vocaloid?

  • i think so, yeah.

  • I thought Miriam was supposed to be Dutch or something.

  • I met a Swiss girl named Miriam but I don't know any dutch girls with that name.

  • cool

  • @aznnarita713 She's Swedish

  • Fly me to the moon existed before Evangelion...

  • Comment removed

  • @DamascusTer Yeah... it's been in Jazz and similar styles since the 1920's or earlier. Louis Armstrong did a nice version of it.

  • @DamascusTer Well, of course. but it was still the ending!

  • @DamascusTer But allot of people would never know the joy of the song without Evangelion.

  • Wow.

It's hard to make a robot sing something as melodious as that.

  • if you look up "vocaloid" on "wikipedia"

it shows all the characters that sing. ˆvˆ

  • i never heard bount her o_o'

  • BEST non japaneese vocaliods i heard yet :O

  • beautifull!,<

  • really good. I just wish people would be perfectionists. XD(I want the program so badly, I'd painstakingly make music)

  • It's hard. Especially when you're a child trying to make something. 0_o;

  • q hermosa voz tiene!!!

  • then you do it, its not as easy as you think it is

  • Lovely.

  • Most of the English songs coming from Vocaloids are made by Japanese people, some of whom might not even speak English that great in the first place. I guess a Vocaloid is only as good as its user.

  • Is it true that they're coming out with a Vocaloid anime?

  • You may be referring to the Black Rock Shooter anime. I don't know if you can consider it a Vocaloid anime, since the only thing Vocaloid had to do with Black Rock Shooter was having Miku sing a song about it. Otherwise, Black Rock Shooter is a whole separate thing on its own.

There might be a possibility that the opening theme to the anime might be sung by Miku, though that's just an opinionated guess.

  • oh, man. T-T i've got the Black Rock Shooter, and it is sung by Miku, but nothing else? bleh. they need to make an anime with them. talk about awesome if they do! :D

  • Would you prefer Microsoft sam?

This technology is amazing for what it is

  • Um, I don't know if this count but the opening and some othersongs of the anime Paprika was sung by Vocaloid Meiko?

Not Miku but a Vocaloid neither less?

  • I would love that sooo much! ^_^ I hope so

  • I'm saving up the money to get Mariam

  • Wow... so human! :D

  • I miss the old robotic sounds you got with Miku and Gakupo, but this is still very pretty~

  • she sounds like drunk Luka

  • I love this. I love that the Vocaloids do not sound like "real" people. If they there would be too much abuse.

  • I can hardly understand a word of this...I mean come on, it said "Jupiwer." o.O

At least the Japanese vocaloids are convincing...but English is too mushy to create a perfect computer-voice.

  • At least she's not asking to 'Fry' her to the moon at let her 'Pray' among the 'stahls'.

  • Comment removed

  • @Sprocketman HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

  • @Sprocketman ... loool. So true.

  • remember a lot of these submissions are coming from JAPANESE users.

  • Well, it is a vocaloid, so it's not's going to be 100% right, especially for a language like english. The english companies are workng at it though, they're getting better at it. Have you heard of the new english vocaloid Sonika? You can actually understand her.

  • She sounds perfectly human. :D

  • Very AWESOME! Good strings, too!
