@Ledzeppelin1942 I am also related to chris on my fathers side and went backstage at The Wickerman Festival and met him and the band they're super nice p.s Led Zeppelin rocks.
ha ha ha,well for certain he did the studio lead work on Paff Bum,which Jeff played this (and Questa Volta) live for the San Remo Festival,jefff refused to have anything to do with the studio version,(& who could blame him),so Chris did that solo,I had a long chat once to Chris about all this.Of course there was also the odd gig,when Jeff didnt show.
When I told about your comment to Chris Dreja yesterday, he laughed... as apparently the press had announced his death already, quite a while back, mistaking him for another musician obviously!... Needless to say he kept that paper as a precious archive about his own demise!... ;-D
Today is Chris Dreja's 66th birthday...11-11-11! Happy Birthday to this original Yardbirds member! Rock on...
Per Wiki, this was a demo from their recordings for the album Having A Rave Up in March–April 1966. Cool little number.

More than a good chance it would be Chris playing lead,not for the first time,on a Yardbirds studio track.

@AmericanPunkGarage
It could be Jeff playing or Chris could be playing. I'll look around to see who played on this track.

If i remember right Chris wrote the song and Jeff played lead. That's why is called Chris's song.
