Guitar hero is nothing like guitar. Its fun and all but its like the guitar for a 2 year old. Whoever relates the guitar hero to real guitar obviously doesn't excel at one or the other. its a damn video game people! It's no different than grand theft auto. Go to strings class or something.

a kill switch is exactly like its name says. normally on a real guitar you have you neck pickup off and your bridgepickup on 10-11. now you need seperate volume controls for it but when you flip the switch to change to neck pickup the there will b no sound. and when you change the switch back to the bridge then there will b sound.(look up tom morello killswitch.)

lol. some songs are over exaturated in gh because i play both. the guitar cover on paint it black is more complicated on gh. it is much much easier on a real guitar.

yea washburn is right. usually, there is 6(somtimes can be up to 12) strings on a guitar and about 15 or more frets, which means theres alot more places your figures could rather than just 5 different spots. i mean yea maybe to people who dont play guitar it looks like it'll help but it really doesnt.

no not really... if yo think of it the guitar hero controler dosnt have the strings and what not so you wont know what string to hit also there on the fretboard to hit also... i can play a good majority of those songs like ex. war pigs and freebird you slide up and down the neck of the guitar not just hold a fret down...

we did an experiment. Without mods, (we're too dumb to figure them out) the better the guitar player, the worse at guitar hero. My friends amazing at guitar and sucks @ hero, I'm decent at guitar and OK at guitar hero, and my other friend has never picked up a guitar in his life and pwned. We all started guitar hero at the same time without using it before and this is how it was.

i cant help but disagree. i've been playing real guitar for 4 years, and guitar hero for 3 weeks. i just got the "start a real band already" achievment tonight, which, if you dont know, is earning a 5-star rating on ALL songs on expert. i have a friend who's ok at real guitar, been playing GH2 for months and i passed his career score last week. if you all stick with it, im sure your friend with the mose real guitar experience will pull ahead of you guys...

Its kind of true that having experience with a real guitar would help in ways that you ARE using the same muscles. Ive played real guitar for 3 years and i remember i couldn't use my pinky for the first couple of months playing real guitar. So now when i started playing guitar hero i noticed as soon as i knew what i was doing and got in what i call "the zone" i was doing hard in a week.

I also play classical guitar, and work in a factory. My wrists undergo plenty of pain. I also normally sit down while playing so wearing it low would mean a loose controller. Play how you play and I'll play how I play.
