  • Amazing how God's blessings are sometimes distributed. Yes, his life was too short in our eyes, but Wayman was an elite athlete in the NBA, became a top-selling musician and by all accounts was a wonderful person. With all his God-given gifts, he inspired more people in tribulation than he did in celebration.

  • RIP Wayman I hope to see you in Heaven one day

  • @jo22338601 Thank You! for your kind words.

  • Love this song! Such talent! Playing with the angels in heaven now.

  • I never really been a jazz fan until i heard "AIN'T NO STOPPING US NOW" by Wayman Tisdale. I've been listening to R&B, Soul, Hip Hop, Rap, Classic Rock, for years, I appreciate all kinds music and I have a wide collection of music but i was tired of the same old songs. Now I love Jazz, preferably Smooth, Contempory, Uraban Jazz. Thank you Wayman Tisdale and may you rest in peace, God Bless you and your Family.

  • @Souljaboc

    That was the same.

Last Year i was visited my Sister in Seattle.

I heard the Jazz Network "KWJZ".

I heard many Smoth jazz songs and one of that was from Wayman Tisdale.

In Germany i heard the same song too.

After that, i love so much Jazz, more Smooth Jazz and more.

    Dave Koz, Wayman Tisdale, wonderful!

He´s was and is fantastic Smooth Jazz artist and Basketball player.

A Tobias killer B with piccolo strings.

    R.I.P. Wayman

  • @CubeableGame It's a piccolo bass I believe

  • R.I.P. Mr. Tisdale. Much love to his wife and children

  • This guy's in my heart and soul for good.I have read a lot of materials about him (not to mention the entire discography of him I have an honour to own), and understand and know what beautiful character and heart he had (had...what a sad word). The most important thing is that he had no any racial feelings towards people of other skin color (as many black people had and have,to my regret). I am a person very sensitive to racism stuff (both white, black or whatever). Wayman, I love U, man....RIP.

  • That the WAY he worshiped the Lord MAN !

    WAY-MAN ! Glory be to GOD !

  • That's the WayMan! He just started living - how you perceive it how you'll receive it. Love his tunes......happy, just as he was...is.

  • ditto, hangtough65

  • Unreal enthusiasm and love for life; Wayman knew the Way and lived fearlessly.

  • I love how he enjoyed his music...you can some how genuine he was. He is a joy to watch and listen to...thank you Lord for sending Wayman to us! RIP my brother!

  • you hit Tiz on the head I miss that smile 2 and that sense of humor he had that at Carver jr high im glad he was cool in my book from the old days! his music will live forever

  • it's such a shame he had to go so soon. Can anyone tell me what effect wayman uses to make his bass sound like it does?

  • He tunes his bass 1 octave above standard tuning, so it is technically in the same tuning as a guitar.

  • @jazjett I feel that the way he lived his life was perhaps his purpose in life..and that he set an example how people should treat one another regardless of all the other things which stand in the way of being human.

  • Wayman was a hoops and bass playin' monster! Rest easy, bro!

  • Very nice . . .

  • he was a great "Person"

  • Wayman was the man...I remember watching him when he played at OU... sweet left handed jumper. Plus the brother always seemed happy, like he was really enjoying life. A helluva musician, and although I didn't know him personally, seemed like a really geniune guy. In the words of a song by another recently departed icon...Gone too soon. RIP Brother Tisdale

  • It's said that the great use of life is to spend it doing something that will outlast it. His music is his legacy and I will continue listening as I did so often before his passing!

  • Can you imagine being blessed twice...

...being an Pro athlete & a great base guitar player. Wayman had GOD smiling on him.

  • People I know who knew him said he was just a great guy... very friendly and down to earth.

  • Yes he was a awesome musician. Although I never saw him as a basketball player, I heard that his fans and team members had a lot of respect for him. RIP!

  • Wayman gave life into music as life was given into him,he played as he felt the keys of life flowed through him,he glowed as the keys of music dance around him like a shinning star, like a river that flows into the sea, like a water fall flowing over a cliff as his music flowes into each and everyone of us.

  • RIP Wayman I love you man!!!

  • His band, with the great Marcus Miller subbing for the big man, played this song at his funeral yesterday. That yellow bass was propped up against the casket. The day before, it was in the casket with Wayman. It was so poignant. I just can't believe he's gone.
