You do a fine and unique job here - really countrify the song more than JD did! You might credit the AllMusic Guide, tho, for the "more info" notes, and you've unintentionally included a major error of theirs. JD did in no way resuscitate the Mitchell group; sales and revenues declined throughout his tenure, and they only recorded four or five of his songs. When the group broke up finally in '69, they were$60,000 in debt - which JD assumed and paid to the penny. That says a lot about him.
well i dont kwno why i wasnt subbed to this channel fo urs.. well i do know why.. i didnt know of it i guess! i thank u for the info on the side as i didnt know all of JDs history.. and love all he did! and now thank u for your cover of this.. of course wonderfully covered as always!
"Back Home Again",as with most all of John's compositions, was deeply personal, yet so genuine and sincere, that is had a universal appeal that spoke to the common man. This was John Denver's gift to us all. I can't say enough about him,so I'll just cut it short right here.
It tickles me so that you've done such a loving and really, really fine rendition. This one never fails to move me emotionally, and your take is just as good as JD's original.
YAY...John Denver!!! My dad loves him...his favorite of his is Country Road...anyways...thanks for putting this on here!!! You are so amazing! How do you know so many songs anyways?? You are sooooooooooo amazing!!! Love you lots and lots!!! And here are you millions of stars!!!!
A super version of a special song Buck! Love John Denvers songs! We have really heavy snowfall here today! First real snow this winter so it`s making up for lost time! LOL Have a great week friend. Warm hugs with all the stars..
We`re almost in the centre of Glasgow Buck. Traffic ensures less problems with snow as it`s constant flow keeps the roads fairly clear. We don`t get a great deal but it`s heavy today! Have a nice week! :0)
Great. really great. Absolutly the Best.

And you do it darn well - this is a great version of the song, more in keeping with the feeling of the words than the original.
