this is truly a masterpiece album. but, what i don t like about it, was how he seemed to putting down the opomism the sixties created. for lennon, i guess, he was very disillusioned, and maybe even paranoid,and angry.which is probably why this is such a great album.

ie. this album negates the song: all you need is love.

@summerstone7 Well said. This is very unique work to be sure, maybe a chance for him to get all his moody feelings out. He clearly knew what he did, because he moved away from this album's style and ideas soon afterwards. Outgrew them, perhaps.

Lots of people say this is his best, but I don't know about that. It's essential, definitely, but I don't think it's his "best," because it only showcases half of what he was capable of. It's a scathing record, and John wasn't always a scathing guy.

But I believe that he is right in some point of this song that some people are wrongly using religion or maybe even politics as a form of flattery as a means of getting money and power. Don't get me wrong, I believe in God but there is no denying to me that some people have abused religion or politics.

This album was John Lennon's way of telling the worldof his many mental aka spriitual aka emotional struggles we all go through. "I found out" is his song to the overobsessed Beatles fans wishing that The Beatles would reform and do concert tour after concert tour,and record and release studio album after studio album(I think)as is John's later song on this album "God" is relating to he fact that "And so, my dear friends you just have to carry on. the dream is over".
