  • No person in the whole universe feels lonely IF HE BELIEVES IN GOD . You must still be feeling lonely because you dont believe in God. HAVE YOU EVER SEEN YOUR EYES ,YOU HAVE EVIL IN YOUR EYES. You are very possessive about your wife also because you have this fear of loneliness. I CAN answer all you questions and i can help you but you need to be ready to accept.

  • Research and/or watch the near death experiences of Howard Storm and Ian McCormack. They both claim they went to Hell and subsequently changed thier lives and became Christians. What have you got to lose?

  • @killingspeerx Where did god come from? You made em up to explain what you dont yet know. Dumb.

  • @liberterianskeptic5 Do you even know what Atheism is? Atheist accept that they know little about the world and that the universe is greater than them. Religious people dont instead they make up stories and lie about knowing how the world works. Join the club of stupid fucks who talk about things they know nothing about you suck.

  • @The12J Wow I just noticed your other messages. Dude there is no evidence for your god. Youre just to weak to handle your problems without help. You were a wreak before and your still crazy. Now you believe in imaginary friends who rub your balls when you get depressed. I dont need a fake god to help me. Get real.

  • @Oldcartoons571 i am real and so is god.

as many times you can tell me God isnt real it okay that what you believe and i cant force you to believe it it your decesion

but i know there is a God because i was never raise in church i came from the lowest i struggle with lust anger pride and unforgivenness. i've dealt with ganglife ive dealt with drugs, i dealt with alot lust, lived in a fatherless home. my mom was sick and i hated life i had a step dad who was horrible and i hated his son.

  • @Oldcartoons571 i was mess.

but to think that all has god done in my life i dont deal with that no more. and its crazy.

at times i just everything was god and now only just 16 years old on fire with god.

seening so many people feel his loved and change and see them free and telling them how god changed me in one encounter, wow there is God. i dont need evidence because everything you see is evdience God is everywhere . and wow thats is a miracle. just my testimony is a miracle

  • @The12J Thats a good comedy skit.

  • I have more respect for the Muslims and Mormon nuts than I do for atheists. At least the nuts believe in something greater than themselves. Atheism is nothing more than cynicism and hedonism personified into total denial of everything. You may have forgotten God Almighty and His Son Christ Jesus but God has not forgotten you. God still believes in you so believe in Him or die without knowing in ignorance. We need to get every atheist on Earth into a stadium and beam it to the Moon, TY Jesus

  • Great vid. We have similar stories. I understand where you are coming from. Keep on the skeptical fight!

  • Great video. Thanks for sharing this on YouTube.

  • find the relationship with god then god gonna infiltrate your life and have a new mind. but bro i love you AND I KNOW ! THAT GOD GONNA OPEN YOUR EYES ! :D im praying for you. even if i dont know you your awesome (:

  • dude there no such thing as religion ! but there is relationship and that way more beautiful. God hates the idea of religion because it divide the church. so that why god infiltrated his love to us because he want those who love him ! (: bro i know your mad because god didnt answer your question and honestly i dont know but i love that you can share your story. but man god loves you he wants to use you ! dont seek for religion seek for the relationship because that what he wants ! when you

  • @The12J Thats bullshit. Did god tell you he hates religion or did you just make that up yourself? God hates nothing because he doesnt exsist and therefore cannot hate a damn thing.

  • @Oldcartoons571 Religion confuses the mind of men. There's a difference between relationship and religion.

religion is just a bunch of rules and standard to live by and if you dont your unworthy. but relationships is control by love, and not love from the world..... no But the love that God shows you. you see the idea of religion in the christian faith is hard because we all feel like we need to be perfect. but nooooo ! god wants us to pursue the realtionship

  • @Oldcartoons571 and bro how can you say god doesnt exist ? i can guarante you when god just show you his love he has for you ! wow it gets beautiful...... you see he exist he real because his loves is soo real.....

if only i can show you who i was b4 god man....... i wass a wreck a mess, struggle with all kinds of fear, anixety, depression, addiction, lust, etc... but who i am now ! shows that god is real! there was even a point in my life that i hated God and thought he didnt exist.

  • @Oldcartoons571 but man god forgive me and he loves me like no one ever could(: and bro he loves you and he has plan for you you are precious in his eyes and because he loves you he do anything to be with you but you gotta let him to show you his plan for you read isaih 43(: god bless bro i hope this get to you and if not god will somehow(:

  • if you were a christian how did you manage to never hear the Gospel of Jesus Christ,,,these questions youre asking are questions from a person who never understood his own religion,,,and theyre fundamental to the faith,,,how can you be a christian if you never heard the Gospel? its a real shame and it happens way too often

  • You are indeed a lonley person. That is the reason you believe that you have a message to spread and world must hear it. What is your motivation? To be completely honest with you, I don't believe anyone cares about your videos. You do have an extremely low hit rate on most of them. I'm doing a project about the physiological characteristics between belivers and non-belivers and that's my only reason for being here. Non-belivers all share the same physiological trait, they are narcissistic.

  • You used logic and science to prove the existence of god. Faith is the exact opposite of proof.

  • To me God is life, look around you theres life everywhere thats a force in your face just the way you proved gravity(no offense), you just have to change your definition of god or you dont have to use the word at all but there definitely is a force keeping everything alive, the fact that love is possible such a beautiful thing, thats also god to me

  • the bible was probably meant as a metaphor just dont take it literal thats where religion fuks up

  • I would just like to say that I am wiccan and I changed from Christianity almost the same way you did. I was a strong christian, went to my own preacher and he just was like you just HAVE to have faith! Its all about faith!! it just didnt click with me anymore! For a couple of years, i didnt really have a religon, i was just searching.. but i finally just found something that i felt was right for me.. I LOVE all your videos and please keep them comin!

  • so a bible defender turned you atheist? That is POETIC!

  • @FreeeeS by reading the bible you turn to atheist.

religions simply dont make any sence.

learn to think without being afraid and you will understand everything better

  • @AlwaysDreamChaser what? are you for real? I meant ironic maybe

  • @FreeeeS oh sorry then. my wrong

  • Thank you azsuperman01 this video helped me. I felt so alone at first and like I was the only person in the world that felt this way. I have only been a non christain for less then a year, I wish I could have ran across this 7 months ago lol, but better late then never. I am also a former youth pastor, I have so many that still look to me for christain leadership, but I could never tell them what I truly believe now. It bothers me when they ask me to pray for them but I do it anyway.

  • @hdavis75 I understand. It can feel very lonely when you first come out of a religion -- especially if your entire social environment was religious, like mine was. Luckily it does get easier, and the internet makes it much easier to find a non-religious social environment. It feels good sometimes just to know you're not the only sane person in an insane world.

  • @azsuperman01 Shoot are you kidding? My wife is a pastors daughter, we have a kid. A few months after my son was born I wakened from the lies of religion/bible. She knows, but m father in law doesnt. I don't know if I should tell him or keep it a secret. They watch him every other day and I dont want my son to be forced to believe. It is a tough situation. I finally got my wife to accept evolution, but she still believes in Jesus. Im in the bible belt and it gets lonely. I understand man

  • @hdavis75 I know what you mean. My wife is a pastors daughter and we got married. Shortly after we got married I awakened from the lies of religion. I feel you man, it's tough.

  • 16For God so greatly loved and dearly prized the world that He [even] gave up His only begotten ([d]unique) Son, so that whoever believes in (trusts in, clings to, relies on) Him shall not perish (come to destruction, be lost) but have eternal (everlasting) life. 17For God did not send the Son into the world in order to judge (to reject, to condemn, to pass sentence on) the world, but that the world might find salvation and be made safe and sound through Him.

  • 14And just as Moses lifted up the serpent in the desert [on a pole], so must [so it is necessary that] the Son of Man be lifted up [on the cross],(B) 15In order that everyone who believes in Him [who cleaves to Him, trusts Him, and relies on Him] may [c]not perish, but have eternal life and [actually] live forever!

  • 12If I have told you of things that happen right here on the earth and yet none of you believes Me, how can you believe (trust Me, adhere to Me, rely on Me) if I tell you of heavenly things? 13And yet no one has ever gone up to heaven, but there is One Who has come down from heaven--the Son of Man [Himself], [b]Who is (dwells, has His home) in heaven.

  • 10Jesus replied, Are you the teacher of Israel, and yet do not know nor understand these things? [Are they strange to you?] 11I assure you, most solemnly I tell you, We speak only of what we know [we know absolutely what we are talking about]; we have actually seen what we are testifying to [we were eyewitnesses of it]. And still you do not receive our testimony [you reject and refuse our evidence--that of Myself and of all those who are born of the Spirit].

  • 7Marvel not [do not be surprised, astonished] at My telling you, You must all be born anew (from above). 8The wind blows (breathes) where it wills; and though you hear its sound, yet you neither know where it comes from nor where it is going. So it is with everyone who is born of the Spirit. 9Nicodemus answered by asking, How can all this be possible?

  • 4Nicodemus said to Him, How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter his mother's womb again and be born? 5Jesus answered, I assure you, most solemnly I tell you, unless a man is born of water and [[a]even] the Spirit, he cannot [ever] enter the kingdom of God.(A)

6What is born of [from] the flesh is flesh [of the physical is physical]; and what is born of the Spirit is spirit.

  • John 3:1-21 (Amplified Bible)

1 NOW THERE was a certain man among the Pharisees named Nicodemus, a ruler (a leader, an authority) among the Jews, 2Who came to Jesus at night and said to Him, Rabbi, we know and are certain that You have come from God [as] a Teacher; for no one can do these signs (these wonder works, these miracles--and produce the proofs) that You do unless God is with him.

  • thanks man!

  • If you're gonna believe in a god, you might as well do it without all of the embarrassing scientific inaccuracies presented in the holy books.

  • I don't CARE if deism is just a belief, or if there's no evidence. I like the idea of a god that started it all. The big bang. I could just as easily say energy is god. It's a relief to have the same heartwarming faith without being bribed with benefits or antagonized by consequences. To have faith without conforming to a religion or abiding by the laws of an old book. Live your life, believe in god, face no guilt, respect science and nature. Deism is wonderful.

  • @hawaii50th The assertion that you can find God as long as you don't use your intellect is an admission that the Christian dogma is not based on reality. It is the same as saying: "You might believe this story, as long as you don't think about it too much. If you're as gullible as a child, you'll believe anything."

Also, I don't have squirrel rationale, so I'm limited to seeking God with my human rationale... you'd think God would have known this in advance and prepared accordingly.

  • @hawaii50th Since I no longer believe Jesus is/was a god, I'd say I didn't have Jesus in my heart, I'd also say I don't think you (or anyone else) does now or ever has had Jesus in their hear... of course if you had asked me back when I was a believer I would have answered differently.

  • Thanks for the video

  • I'm a scientist and philosopher, I have been in God's presence, if you watch my videos I will prove to you mathematically and scientifically that God does in fact exist. So if you're looking for the truth, I do in fact have the truth, given to me by God....David

  • @ThePhilosophersTruth Amen brother, keep spreading the love of Jesus! Even though probably none of you believe this, GOD LOVES YOU!! :D

  • @Cunit1874 God loves you, but if you don't believe that he had to impregnate a teenage girl with himself in order to torture and kill himself as a sacrifice to himself (because he sinned against himself) before he could convince himself to forgive you... well if you don't believe it, he'll torture you forever for the "crime" of not being a God.

  • Comment removed

  • @hawaii50th Actually, God breaks his own rules all the time, which would be (by definition) sinning against himself.

  • 07:35 "i felt so alone" I felt exactly how you felt when i became a hard determinist and a moral nihilist. i though i was the only person in the world to have thought this way... i didn't even know that the concepts of hard determinism and moral nihilism existed outside my own head... also the cognitive dissonance hit me like a truck. the saying "ignorance is bliss" hadn't been anymore relevent in my life than at this particular time.

  • just out of curiosity, what denomination were you and what denomination was you girl?

  • Good video. There are more atheists who were formerly christian than I ever would have imagined growing up like you in a christian family. How did your family take the news when they learned you were no longer a believer?

  • Youre right you are not alone there will be many of you going to hell!Listening to doctrines of demons

  • There is a big difference between the mindset of: This is the word of God! vs. Is this the word of God? when reading the bible!

  • I love the way you are so logical, and are a good speaker. Your videos are very enjoyable, and I enjoy your blog. Thank you!

  • you're gonna base your whole disbelief on a couple of people who misinterpereted the Bible? safe to say you're easily persuaded... hope someday you see the Truth... till then God bless

  • you sound like you were a jehovah witness...they are not christians my friend....

  • @bschaf13 lol, that's what his girlfriend said too.

  • Thank you for this video. It's very interesting for me, as I grew up in an atheist state (German Democratic Republic) but since the reunion of Germany am faced with many religious people. Also my new girlfriend is a Christian, believes in God and prayer and whatnot, although she has studied philosophy and got the top mark in it.

  • im sorry you had to let down God because of the bible. that is the #1 reason why people let go of God. Its true that the bible contradicts itself, but it does have some truth in it. I myself was religious but didnt feel quite fond of any religion from christianity to muslim. So i kept asking and i found the answer. You have to keep looking. We are all Gods thats why people say Jesus was a God.God didnt put the truth in a book he put the truth in YOU! align your 7 chakras and astral project =)

  • Its realy depressing to see how much effort it takes for someone who was indoctrinated to come about some reasonability and renounce the bullshit he has been feed. Thats why i concider religion child abuse, purposedly teaching children to not question, to believe in things that are so obviously bullshit just because the parent say that its true even tho they have no proof themselves.

Thats why religion deserves ridicule, doing this to your own children is evil.

  • I didn't catch if he really was a christian or not. So I for my own sake can't believe or disbelieve that he was a real christian

  • @Omega1988 he quite clearly states that he was a christian

  • lol u look soo much like my english teacher..

if there is no evidence that God exists (according to u) ..then there is also no evidence that He doesn't. I suggest u to research about Qur'an in depth and find a scholar and to answer your questions...don't just turn away from God :) and best of luck

  • Hey superman01...so now you beleive that You come from the monkeys?

Watch my latest video and trust me there is a Creator to all.

    With love.

  • Sounds like you were Mormon. I was raised Mormon. I am also now an atheist. I think it made it a quicker jump than perhaps some Christians have, since if the Mormon church wasn't true, what else was there? lol, according to my teenaged mind anyway. I REALLY relate to your story, very specifically.

  • The feeling of being alone. That's what you get from really reading the bible.

  • Q.: What is the quickest way to prove the existence of God to an atheist?

    A.: Kill him.

  • @offworldcolonist how very christian of you, "you shall not murder" see you in hell LOL

  • @48Hotspur1

But what if I kill a fat atheist and feed my family for a week? That wouldn't be murder, that would be BBQ ;)

  • @offworldcolonist then i would imagine you and your fat family would be dining in hell ;))

  • @48Hotspur1

    y???

    We're all ridiculously skinny :)

  • @offworldcolonist look into my eyes ((O-O))

  • @48Hotspur1

    Stop.... NOOOOO!!! :)

  • @offworldcolonist ((O-O)) now repeat after me, i must not eat Atheists me bad lol :))

  • @48Hotspur1

    LOL :D

  • Have you ever read the book called 'Mere Christianity' by C.S. Lewis? It changed my life.

  • I am truly sorry for the experiences that you have had with the Christian faith and with Christians in general. I know that my apology isn't all that much but maybe it helps a little bit. We have all had doubts at one point or another. However, if we are not taught correctly then how are we not expected to leave the fold so to speak. If you don't mind me asking, what denominations were you and your girlfriend?

  • Nicely done.

  • The last two minutes of your video: Are you familiar with the Deus absconditus of Pascal?

  • @NihilNominis I am, and I see no way of telling the difference between a hidden God and a non-existent one. I figured it didn't make sense to believe in something whose existence looks identical to non-existence.

  • @azsuperman01 I've always tended towards justifying the reasoning of such men as Aristotle on a phenomenological level. That is to say, if life admits to external meaning, then the way we perceive it is of great importance, and so natural philosophy based only on that observation common to all men, that is, sense experience, is the best way to discern purpose. This is where I make my Pascal wager, between a meaningful universe and an absurd one. After that, I think my reasoning to be clear.

  • @azsuperman01 dude GOD exist even if u cant see him but u can see his creations and see how complicated the human body is, do u think that it was all created by it self??? i mean the blood the electric particals n the brain and how eye can detect light. if u cant see something that doesnt mean that it doesnt exist, can u see air? can u see oxygen? can u see electric current? does that mean that they dont exist?????

  • @killingspeerx You can actually PROVE the things you mentioned that you can't see through science. You cant prove that God or a god exists. There's too many manuals to describe him for one, thus theirs know outline by which to identify him. Just because things happen and we dont YET understand them doesnt mean its god.

  • @killingspeerx You just made yourself sound like a prime example of a theistic moron... Sorry.

  • @Xilosphere see, there is no prove that god doesnt exist because in everything he had created, there is a prove that shows that god exist and that he created us, or do u think that we were created form nothing??? i mean come on, how can nothing form/create nothing????

  • @killingspeerx You actually DO believe that something can be "created" from nothing...... If I ask you where god came from. You would say something akin to "god has always been" or "god has no origin" and you would be PERFECTLY FINE with your conclusion. Why? Because it's god that came from "nothing" and not us humans. Your logic is flawed.

  • @Xilosphere this is the stupidest question ever!!! ofcourse no 1 can know how god exist, because god created us humans not to be perfect, so since we r not perfect we cant think about something that doesnt have begining or ending, god created our minds that can only think that things must have a begining and an ending, so we cant imagine things like immortal life and something that alost exist from nothing

  • @killingspeerx The point is. You BELIEVE a god has always existed and was NOT created... Is it so hard to understand that the universe has also JUST existed. NO CREATION INVOLVED. As in, there was no need for creation. Therefore no need for a god.

  • @Xilosphere Aha, but for some1 to think that this huge and large universe had existed all by its own, i mean come on, didnt u learn biology? just check the human body and see how much it is complicated and just see that the brain creation has many amazing functions and that the white blood cells have many types and can defend the body by several steps and from many weird virusus and bacterias, so how do u think that humans had evolved?

  • @Xilosphere beside if our solar system wasnt created by god, so how does each planet rotate around sun in a specific order as if some1 has functioned them to do so? the sun doesnt have a brain to tell each planet how to move and earth doesnt even get close or away from sun even by 3cm, so who created the gravitational force that made everything like this? no 1 can imagine that it all happened by it self, and do u mean to say that our existance was all just coincidence?

  • @killingspeerx ........Was gods existence all just coincidence? That's a better question.

  • @Xilosphere ur question is pointless, y would it be just coincidence? ok then, ur question will be answered by ur self, am gonna ask u some questions in order to reach with u the main point of ur question since answering directly wont give much effect since u r fanatic. so how do u think that we humans were born or created or came to live? since nothing cant create thing, do u want to say that the planet existed by its own and water created fish that were turned into monkey and finally a human?

  • @killingspeerx Please explain to me how my question is pointless... OH! Is it because you can't answer it!? OMG....

  • The apologist tried to convert you by telling you your grandparents went to hell?

  • @TharosTheDragon Yup. "You're grandparents are being tortured because they believed the wrong story before they died. You don't want to be tortured too, do you?"

    *paraphrased of course

  • @azsuperman01 What a terrible apologist.

  • @TharosTheDragon They are all pretty bad. This guy phrased it as if he was trying to save me. He used the parable of the rich man in Hell to tell me that my grandparents were - at that moment - praying that I would come to the truth so I wouldn't come to the same fate they were doomed to endure.

  • @azsuperman01 That's like Jacob Marley from A Christmas Carol.

Anyway, I bet you'd have a thing or two to say to the guy if you saw him now. Telling you that an omnibenevolent God willingly punishes such good, loving people that care enough about you to pray for you.

  • @TharosTheDragon Yeah, the conversation would be much different if it were to happen today. ;-)

  • azsuperman01) I would like to know what denomination you were a part of although I doubt you will reveal it. I would also like to know the denomination of the apologist.

  • @orderofmelchizedek1 What difference does it make?

  • @azsuperman01 Sometimes it helps me to better understand where you are coming from. I have noticed some trends while speaking with atheists and so I'm always interested to know certain things. Religion is not how man gets to God anyway. Many do not understand this. NO religion will ever save anyone. Only God can do that.

  • @orderofmelchizedek1 I guess that depends on your definition of "religion." I usually use the term in the loosest possible sense, as "a set of beliefs concerning the cause, nature, and purpose of the universe, usually accompanied by a strong belief in a supernatural power(s) or being(s) that control human destiny"

  • I'm at a slightly different point in my life having been an atheist for about 50 years. When I went through a process similar to the one you describe, we didn't have the Internet to help us find kindered spirits, so your generation has that big advantage over mine, although it was much easier being a dissenter and religions were much less actively proselytizing when I was your age. I very much appreciated your openness and know that you and people like you make it easier for others. Thx.

  • you made me not fell alone , i dont believe in god.

  • It is amazing what reading the bible can do! I was an atheist before I ever read much of it but now that I have read some of it I realize that the whole religion is man made.

  • ggjg

  • Great story man! I was born into Lutheran home. Went to Lutheran schools my entire life. My parents are VERY religious. Bible study is at our house type of thing. I started watching things and reading and it became too much. It was like a light switch as you say and your entire life is upside down. There is no way i can tell my parents but watching stuff like this helps. Thanks man!!

  • azsuperman01: If I can piss god off...am I not in control of god?

  • Hi brother, I see the whole communities of religions are coming into a time of self existance. That includes all religions made by man and yes... ALL of them.

But there is more going on m8... You broke the first chain m8, so glad for you.

Keep going m8, all the answers are in you, just need to ask the right questions.

  • if christianity is false, it is of no importance. if christianity is true, it is of infinite importance. the only thing it cannot be is moderately important. therefore, it is never sufficient to be "pretty sure" that christianity is false.

  • well theres your problem, Its religion. I understand now why you believe the way you do. I never did like religion myself and avoided it at all cause. I always knew that I didnt need that man made crap. I see religions as evil because they claim to believe and mislead people and I see the athiest as a person that doesnt believe but not evil for not believing.

  • What....?

  • This video is excellent and very interesting.

  • There are many comments stating that the author may get his questions answered were he to ask THEM for the truth and ignore the apologist. This is where the concept of a "fact" vs. "truth" comes in. A fact is, well...always a fact. Truth is a concept related to views. After a person has read the bible with a clear mind and found it incoherent (as I did), attempts by others to explain away the incoherence with interpretation (ie apologists) is counterproductive.

    Good video.

  • It must have felt good, reading bible back then, assuming that it was all true without question. And I'm sure it really sucked when living in a home of hardened believers when having so many questions. It really isn't that surprising that you'd end up an atheist. My condolences...

  • This is a great video for people like me who have never had the chance to talk to anyone about losing god. Well done.

  • My friend, I commend you for your honesty

(and boy you're not gonna like this one). It honestly breaks my heart to hear your testimony as it is. Allow me to say that what that girl friend of yours did all those years ago well, just let me say that with a friend like that you certainly don't need an ex-wife. Secondly, what the supposed "apologist" did was just damned evil. Though I'm the least of God's Kingdom, a true apologist would never do that. Bring me your questions, they'll be answered.

  • Thanx - i could relate a lot with the things you said.. i let go last year around this time!

  • @billydguy

    Congratulations!

  • I deconverted around 22 myself, in college. My girlfriend played the roll of the Devil's advocate at that time, and it took me months to realize that what she said made alot more sense than the claims of the preachers. That was almost 40 years ago. :) I've now started an Atheist website (DigitalFreethought), and an Atheist MeetUp group. I recommend the latter to everyone who needs, or wants, freethought camaraderie! :)

Good video! Well said! Hang in there.

  • @Doubter5 ....Do you disagree with Biblical ethics and moral points? If so, do you hold the views you do because you find them to be true, through the preponderance of evidence and reasoning? Or because you find them in some way attractive?

  • I don't really see much IN the Bible by way of ethics. It condones slavery, killing unruly children and non-virgin brides, etc.

The few Commandments that actually address morality are far from original, and were present in every society since the beginning of civilization.

Although Jesus said love your fellow man, he also said give away your belongings, give no thought for tomorrow and love your enemies. Hardly good advice.

Morals should be based on human compassion and reason.

  • "give away your belongings, give no thought for tomorrow and love your enemies. Hardly good advice."

How is telling people to not be materialistic, to live in the moment, and to love everyone(if you love your enemy you will surely love everyone else) not good advice???

  • If everyone did that, the economy would come to a halt, as well as modern medicine, and society. THAT's how it's not good advice.

  • I don't think he was actually trying to get people to do all of that, I think he was just trying to get people to think and understand where he was coming from. But what if he actually meant it? What if the economy and modern medicine and society came to a halt? If nobody cared about having belongings, didn't ncare about tomorrow, and loved their enemies(there wouldn't be any enemies), then none of that stuff would matter anyways. I don't see how modern medicine would stop though.

  • AND that loving your enemy thing.. That would have worked well for us during World War II wouldn't it? We'd all be speaking German/Japanese now.

  • You seem to think that "everyone" only means the USA. If EVREYONE followed the love your enemies rule, we wouldn't have war, just like if everyone followed the golden rule.

  • Ok Medicine would stop because there would be no one "giving thought to tomorrow" i.e. no drugs would be produced, no hospitals build/maintained, and no colleges because everyone would be living for today. Not tomorow.

My whole point its that you (and Jesus) are being totally unrealistic. It's never going to happen, and the people who do practice it would quickly be killed, or subjugated by those who don't.

  • Oh Doubter5, what is real? Also tell me, would that really be a bad thing if medicine stopped? Keeping people alive a few more years, even 1000 more years would still be as insignificant as a person who only lived to be 50.

  • So, your response is "Doubt Reality", and minimize the value of life. I rest my case.

  • I'm not minimizing the value of life, I'm minimalizing the value of extending it.

  • @Nate2203

If EVERYONE followed the rules in the Koran, we wouldn't have wars either... that doesn't proof that the Koran is right, it just proves that if EVERYONE agreed wouldn't have any reason to fight.

Unfortunately, we'll never have everyone agreeing with everyone about everything - so loving your enemies and turning the other cheek can be dangerous advice.

  • when people gets creedy and selfish thats when war comes. The phrase love your enemy as yourself means that as chrsitain we should be rational and think about others and not being selfish, and put your self in other people's shoes. If that peson trying to kill in war, of course protect ur own. It all written clearly in bible :)

  • @azsuperman01

why dont u study islam ... u will find ur answer there...?

  • @Doubter5 Don't forget, hate your family.

  • I'm 14 right now and I thought the whole thing was a fictional thing like santa, I never really thought it was true. I have always thought that if it was true then in every school they would teach it and everysingle person would believe it. I never woke up, I have always been awake.

  • @BeginnerBatchFile ...What parts of the Bible are 'figurative' but perhaps accurate in the ideas they represent (early Genesis...)?

What parts purport to be actual witnessed history? As compared with other ancient historical accounts (Thucydides, Plutarch, Caesar's 'Gaulic Wars'...) that we generally rely on for our historical understanding and texts, how reliable are the Biblical historical accounts ?( e.g., were Christ or Stephen ever executed and why might it matter?) How best to decide?

  • Just because there is some stuff in the bible that is probably true and because Jesus preached a lot of truth, doesn't mean that the message of christianity is true. Jesus himself NEVER claimed to be the son of god, that should be a tell right there!!!!!

  • The way you say about supernatural event you shouldnt take them so literally it could be a metaphor for something like an earthquake or natural disaster aka supernatural if yet get me. Yes there is scientific evidence but what is the core reason? everything has a reason or purpose.

  • You were a Mormon!! I knew it! I was one too, born and raised.

    Now I'm an atheist.

  • Thanx, I was also deconverted by reading the bible. I may make my own deconversion video soon.

  • I'm so glad I've known the truth my entire life. I can't imagine how tough that would be. And I thought finding out santa was fake sucked...

  • I'm going through a similar situation now, at 20 years old. I've been an atheist for a year and no one knows except for Youtube and some forums. Thankfully, the most painful part is over. The shock I had when everything clicked depressed me for months.

  • A humble request:

Can you please give Islam a chance.. just one sincere read of the Quran?

  • you know why it took you some years to convert cuz u know deep down god was real how do u explain holy spirit an speaking in tounges i was a big pot head an got tied and started to livie in his way and grew

  • Holy spirit? Speaking in tongues? Boy, you got him there man. That's some concrete evidence for sure.

  • lol, evolution and the big bang aren't things you have to "believe" in, they are facts. That's the equivalent of asking me if I believe in gravity and oxygen atoms!

  • I respect what you're trying to say, however wrong it may be.

the Big Bang is a theory, not a fact. Just like evolution and gravity.

I'm not saying these things don't exist, just don't go stating theories as facts. There is a very big difference.

  • You obviously don't know the difference between a fact and a scientific theory and there's really no excuse for that

evolution (change in allele frequency in populations over time) is a FACT, gravity (objects with mass attract) is a FACT and the big bang (the universe began with a massive expansion) is also a FACT

evolutionary THEORY and gravitational THEORY are broad explanations and descriptions of the FACTS

  • tl;dr ∆

    ∆ ∆

  • oh im so sorry, why didn't you say you were retarded? I would have made it a lot shorter
