  • Hi Andy

I am very interested in your solution, because I have bad nozzles. In the video you mention that you take papersheets drensed with 'green'. Is what i could make out of it, but I don't know the word (dutch-girl) I heard something about ammonium, but that is all. What did you use in the sheets??

    Thnks Ida

  • @idscheij He uses Simple Green. In Australia it's called Morning Fresh. It's a neutral dishwashing liquid that they've diluted with water.

  • Andy, you are a genius! After not using my 4800 printer for over a year, the head was severely clogged and several power cleanings would not fix it. Tried your technique, let it sit overnight, turned it on and did a nozzle check and it worked perfectly! As good as new! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!

  • It’s best to think ahead from as early as possible when preparing these tactics of course– it can be a real nightmare to pick apart a model and add support structures or cut it apart.

  • Andy --

I have an Epson 7800 UltraChrome K3 that I use for personal art prints. It has not been used in months due to an illness. At any rate, when I try to print nothing comes out in terms of color on paper. I'm sure it is totally clogged and in need of a major print head cleaning. Do you think the process you detailed in your video would work in this situation... or do you think some more drastic needs to be done to bring it back to life. Thanks.

  • Any suggestions for a Epson 3800/3880?

  • @richfavinger

Rich, in order to move the head on the 3800/3880..you simply turn the printer on and when the head moves to the middle, unplug the printer. I know it sound primitive, but this is how we do it! Then, the clog cleaning is the same. You do not have a cutting blade on the 38XX printers..so..disregard that part of the video. Let me know if you need any assistance with your supplies. Love to have the opportunity to serve you!
