That's bullshit. In a moshpit you don't aim in beating the shit out your your fellow metalhead, instead you aim at unleashing fucking intensity and agression, by doing a uuhm.... damn "rough dance" . Yes, of course you're going to get hurt at a pit, but not in purpose, and not by swinging limbs and shit.

You mosh to the heavy bit of the song. Or whenever the song is heavy. Sometimes it will go slow and the singer will ask for a pit (Lamb of god are famous for this) Then you will run round and push anyone in your way (Aslong as they are moshing) Alot of people know-a-days TRY to hurt people Scene kids, otherwise known as HXC kids. There is two rules you follow: ALWAYS FOLLOW ! 1. Never try and really hurt someone 2. ALWAYS pick someone up if they fall Thats a mosh pit
