I was freaking out about turning 20 also, I didn't even celebrate it and didn't let anyone buy me presents (but they did anyway and I kept them, it's rude no to accept presents) but turning 21 was not as scary, with 21 I can drink legally anywhere in the world, which is nice. In few months I'll be 22, that's a cool number so I'm not scared of being yet one year older.

So all in all, being 20 is a turning point so it's not weird that you're scared.

I had the same thing happen to me in cov when i was about 14, maybe crazy gypsy women have a franchise. i'm quite sure that one who tried to force some 'lucky' heather int my hand in brum was the same mad tart who told me 'carry an umbrella on tuesday' when i was in oxford two weeks later. Maybe they work different patches on a rota basis (or maybe Coventry is overrun by gypsy women).

I think you're okay as long as you don't forcibly try to 'grow up'. Age really is just a number at the end of the day, so if you don't feel twenty and just go about things at your own pace then you don't have to worry.

It was my birthday on Tuesday, and though I was only turning 16, my friends and family decided to make it seem as though I was turning 6. They got me colouring books, Playstation games, a rubber duck, a pacman keyring roller skates and crayons. My friends and I then watched Pokemon, played Spyro, and ate gummy bears all day. I'd never felt younger :P.

I was terrified of turning 19, I stayed up until midnight crying and hoping Peter Pan would take me to Never Neverland so I wouldn't have to get older. He didn't =( . But this past September when I turned 20 I was scared thinking that I would never be a teen again, but the day of my birthday came and went and nothing has really changed. I turned 20 just a couple weeks ago and I kind of freaked out too. Even though it is just a birthday and it doesn't really mean that much, it felt like a huge deal. I mean, when people ask you how old you are and you say 19 I imagine that they envision you as being way less mature than if you said 20. However, after the big day passed I just went back to living my normal life. I do, however suggest partaking in child/teenage style fun in celebration. I went sledding. It was fantastic!
