  • Pretty sure Tony Congi wrote this arrangement. It's been done in Young Life for ages, but def a Congi original.

  • So happy I found this song!! I use to have the cd The Bride something or other... but who knows where it got to.

  • omg...wow. i know sighn language prtty well and i cant sing a song in it besides like jesus loves me...lol. and i didnt learn that so easy...im just lucky my dad is deaf cause i use sighn language even though i dont have 2 cause i can hear.......but this lady in this vid is just fanominal...no words can rly say how great she did....so...CONGRATS ON YOUR AWSOMENESS!!!!

  • Omg! Yes! I have not heard this version in FOREVER and I couldn't remember who sang it. Love it! Great job in ASL, I'm in my 3rd year of it.

  • sign language.

  • i have to sing a part of this song in front of my whole church

Jesus loves me this I know

For the bible tells me so

    Little ones to him belong

They are weak but he is strong

  • This was really cool! I've never heard that version of the music before. Very nice. God Bless!!

  • Wonderful. Continue to serve. His light truly shines through you..

    God bless

  • You're great! I teach the kids at my church praise hymns in sign and was so inspired by this! I started teaching them this song last night! Thanks for the inspiration! Keep doing it! God loves praise in any form! Although, I'm partial to the beauty of signing!

  • To all others - thanks for feedback and encouragement!!

  • Garnkurven - Very neat! I love all foreign languages, so it's always great to hear differences. In the states, ASL is viewed as its own language. Though some features are similar to English, it is not based on spoken English. Some forms of sign language (such as Signed Exact English [SEE], Conceptually Accurate Signed English [CASE], etc.) do use the mouth movements like in English. It really depends on the D/deaf or hard of hearing person's preferences and which is best for the situation!

  • Jkatelyn -- I searched forever for the song. Unfortunately, I can't remember exactly where I finally found it. It is by Paul Colman. This is a version I used to sing in a bible study group, and I have always loved it.

faithfulfunny - thanks for the encouragement!! I continue my education in ASL and Deaf culture everyday and hope to bridge gaps in communication to the best of my ability whenever possible!

  • CiaoBella -- Thanks for the feedback!! Unfortunately, this video was done in a very tiny, cinder-block room in front of 2 other people and a video camera...! Not very calming for the nerves, lol. Also, this video was being turned in for a grade....I find that my natural, less nit-picked interpretations are much better. I really do appreciate your feedback though and will certainly work on incorporating more emotion rather than a look of just pure concentration!! haha

  • Thank you all for the comments!! I am sorry that I have not been keeping up with all your responses...! I do appreciate them very much.

dodgebyrd -- I am hearing. This is a variation of the song "Amazing Grace." This version includes different verses and is called a "medley" which means it is multiple songs combined into one. This is why it doesn't look like the usual "Amazing Grace" Great observation!!

  • I've been watching some asl songs on you tube, and what surprises me (except your all so good at it:) is that you don't use your mouth! In norwegian sign languaga we use the moth more than the hands.

  • Well the song is beautiful and her but i am soo glad that more and more people who are not hard of hearing or deaf are willing to learn ASL to help others to understand comunication who are hard of hearing or deaf... i myself born and raised hard of hearing and am ASL...but the point is she is Learning very well Good Job Megabyte707

  • This is great. Where did you get the song?

  • This is beautiful!

  • The most important thing about doing ASL interpretations is facial expressions. Especially to a song you are telling a story, so instead of making faces like your having a conversation with yourself try to portray the emotion that the song gives you. It allows people who are watching to feel that emotion especially if they are deaf because they can't hear the music. Other than that the signs are really good. I enjoyed it.

  • hello

  • This song sounds almost identical to Tony Congi's Amazing Grace/Alleluia, I wonder if Paul Colman got the rights he needed or not.

  • it's so beautiful...

  • Sorry...it was recorded in wide screen and showed up as full screen....so I'm a little smushed/blurry. My apologies!!!

  • do not look like amazing grace are u hearing?
