Nice, illusion, but i know how it work now! There is a colored version, but, it passes so quick that, the only way you can see it, is focusing your eye in one spot, which keeps the image in your brain. But watching it like on regular makes you watch all over the place, therefor you can't see it, passing at a few milliseconds!

You're right. The screen does change. That's why this is best presented in video form. That's not the illusion. The illusion is the fact that the screen changes to a black and white image, but by following the directions and staring at the dot, it will appear to change to full color at first, then will slowly fade to black and white, even though the normal full-color version never existed.

In technical terms, the image changes from incorrect colors to a black and white image. If you follow the directions, however, and keep your gaze on the dot, it will appear to change to a color image initially. That is, if you don't happen to suffer from certain types of color-blindness. That is the illusion. Did you follow the directions?

I see what's going on. I saw another one of these and ppl were saying it's fake, but when I saw outside the dot I saw it wasn't. I now know it is fake, because if you look outside the dot and concentrate you can see small splotches of green. They're too small to see normally, but when you aren't paying attention to that area the splotches blend in with the grey and make it all that color. It's neat, but it's fake.

Yeah, the effect works relatively quickly. The 20 seconds is mostly to be sure it works best... and for most people. Also, sometimes the longer you stare at the first image, the longer the second image will remain in color (provided you continue to stare at the dot.)

So, where you were originally seeing purple, for instance, you will now see green.
